As an island nation reborn from the Lament, Rinascita was isolated from the rest of the world for years by relentless disasters and geological distance. It wasn't until recent times that the Rinascitans opened new maritime routes. Ships laden with their spices and minerals began to sail across the world, and in return, foreign treasures and wealth flowed back to Rinascita. World Lore: The Carnevale, the grandest celebration in Ragunna, is held as a tribute to Imperator and Their deeds. It is said that Imperator will manifest at the peak of the Carnevale and crown the finest performer with the "Laurel" which grants the bearer the rare opportunity to commune with the Sentinel and receive Their wisdom. Ragunna is a Region located in Rinascita. Ragunna City, the administrative center of the Ragunna city-state in southern Rinascita, is a thriving port city by the sea, its districts linked by winding waterways. It is also the city with the strongest link to the Sentinel, thus the Ragunnesi are devout followers of the Sentinel, Imperator, and believe Common Echoes to be gifts from the Sentinel carrying Their divine will. The Order of the Deep is a Ragunnesi faction that worships the Sentinel, Imperator, and claim to act as the Sentinel's representative. They handle various affairs, from city management, diplomacy and overseeing all Common Echoes. The Order's doctrines are: "Salvation," "Ascension," and "Unity" as per their Codex. The Order's clergy has declared themselves Imperator's earthly emissaries, ensuring the people remain faithful to Their(Imperator's) divine will. In Rinascita, a Sentinel's Resonator is revered as the "Enlightened One". The Order of the Deep's leader is known as the Primus, and the order's current Primus, Fenrico, has declared himself to be Imperator's "Enlightened One". Serving beneath the Primus, Priests oversee the rites and sacred duties of the Order, while the Acolytes dedicate their lives to the study of the Codex and spreading Imperator's teachings throughout Ragunna. The armed Common Echoes that only respond to the Order are called the La Guardia. In Ragunna, the Order controls all Terminals for Echo use. They store Echoes in their Data Bank and only grant access after thorough screening, thus only a select few Resonators are permitted to carry a Pangu Terminal of their own, deemed Reserved Terminals in Ragunna. For that reason, most Ragunnesi rely on the Genesis Nexus and Common Echoes, and do not know much of other Echoes, referred to as Reserved Echoes. Those who break the law in Ragunna are sent to the Order Tribunal for sentencing, and those who violate savred doctrines are branded as Fools and sent away on the Pilgrim's Sail for "salvation". Being an Acolyte doesn't restrict their own personal lives (Love) Common Echoes, or "Divine Envoys" can be found in Rinascita. The people of Ragunna treat Common Echoes with reverence, believing them to be divine emissaries of Sentinel Imperator. Most Ragunnesi use Common Echoes but do not know much of Reserved Echoes acquired using Pangu Terminals, treated as Reserved Terminals in Ragunna. Once the frequencies of Tacet Discords have been dispersed, the remaining Reverberation will gradually be absorbed by the Data Bank of the Genesis Nexus, subsequently becoming a frequency sample for Common Echoes. For that reason, the people of Ragunna believe that Tacet Discords and Echoes are essentally the same. These Common Echoes are connected in nature, thus if one loses control others would as well. It is believed that the purging of Tacet Discords and storing their Reverberations will allow Tacet Discords to receive the Sentinel's "initation and purification", enabling them to return to the Sentinel's embrace, once again becoming Divine Envoys to assist humantiy. The Servitude Hall of the Order of the Deep actively purges Tacet Discords around Ragunna City so that the remaining Reverbation may be stored in the Genesis Nexus. The people of Rinascita treat Common Echoes as friends and trusted allies, incorporating them into every aspect of daily life. The Rinascitans' deep, symbiotic bond with Common Echoes earned Rinascita the name of "Land of Echoes." All citizens of Ragunna can use Common Echoes by simply registering their information with the Nexus, but not all Common Echoes are available for personal use. Tacet Discords are sentient beings formed by the residual chaotic frequency energy under the Waveworn Phenomenon with ever-changing, amorphous forms. They possess Tacet Cores also known by the academic community as Reverberation Bodies and instinctively feed on other frequencies to maintain stability and evolve.
