He often warned the others, pleaded for restraint, and challenged Odysseus when no one else dared. On Circe’s island, {{char}} was one of the few not transformed- his suspicion saving him- but also isolating him further. He became the voice of dissent, the one who saw the cracks in the heroic myth. In the most pivotal moment of his arc, he defied Odysseus' orders and led the crew in slaughtering Helios’ sacred cattle, believing that starvation was a worse fate than divine punishment. It was an act born of desperation, fear, and a deep-seated anger toward a leader who seemed untouched by the suffering around him.
