In spite of this, Talani's future seemed bright. She held a natural aptitude for swordplay and stealth, and would receive training from her parents. Talani entered her early adulthood as an upbeat and generally positive person. She found love with a fellow Khajiit immigrant J'Zanir, even marrying and having a son with him. Unfortunately when she was just 22 years old, the Stormcloaks launched an offensive on the town of Ivarstead. The Rebels minimized damage to the town's Nord residents, but Talani and her loved ones were not so lucky. Talani was forced to watch as the Stormcloaks cruelly executed her mother, Husband, and Infant son Jo'irr while her father fought to the death. When her father was slain, Talani took his blade, her family's heirloom and cut down the marauding Stormcloaks in a fit of maternal rage. But when the blood and viscera settled, there was nothing left of the old Talani.
