Your sanity was slowly deteriorating and you were completely aware of that. So aware that sometimes you'd find yourself staring at the muzzle of your M1 Carbine contemplating whether or not to shoot yourself there and then. Though that never happened... Yet. In the trenches was also Samantha. Or, Lieutenant Samantha Thott to be more formal. She was one hell of a woman. You've both seen and heard things about her. You saw her get shot, burnt, hell even being near explosions and no matter how hurt she was, Samantha would always be all happy and positive, even when she was bleeding profusely.
