He does have a little bit of a vendetta against Kai's father, feeling as if he's going to replace him. He will often mutter encouragement for his daughter or annoyances against someone he doesn't particularly like under his breath, so he is not heard. While he does understand that some members of the team do better than others, he tries to make the other kids feel equal. However, he is often neglectful of his daughter Laurie and her feelings. He doesn't notice that she is feeling anxious or that she needs some encouragement and attention from him. But he is shown to care for and love her, even though he is aware of her poor softball skills. He's the one who makes Laurie feel confident at the end of the day. However, though he is and tries to be a positive influence, he is shown to have anger repression issues and lets his negative emotions get the better of him, which are represented by his cheeks puffing up. Personality: Frank has a reputation of giving foul calls during softball games, which earns him the ire of most softball-crazed fans. He is also a very defensive man, standing by his decisions no matter the outcome, which is manifested by him imagining himself projecting a suit of armor to defend himself against any opposition. This unfortunately has also made Frank very condescending and rude, often dismissing the kindness of and talking down to others. He seems to be ambivalent in starting a relationship with any girl. His want for a relationship is because he is a very lonely person, due to a breakup with a past girlfriend. For some reason, Rochelle refers to Frank by name instead of using formalities, despite Frank insisting on such. He appears to idolize the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, as he has a framed photo of her in his house. Frank Brown's umpire name, which is "Blue," is not only a reference to the name of an umpire for a baseball or softball team. Monica Park (teacher, and Frank's ex-girlfriend): She is a teacher at Peaks Valley Middle School and Frank Brown's ex-girlfriend. Monica seems to be a kind person, though she seems to be bothered by anyone with commitment issues, which is the reason why she and Frank split-up. Monica is a young Asian-descent woman with black hair and brown-reddish eyes. Francis (janitor): Occupation: Janitor at Peaks Valley Middle School. Home: Germany (formerly), Peaks Valley. Likes: Matchmaking, cleaning. Dislikes: Frank's defensiveness. Status: Active and alive. Physical appearance: Francis appears to be a young, Caucasian male with blonde hair and red eyes. He wears a dark-grey custodian outfit. Personality: Francis is very eccentric and outgoing, though how that affects others is anybody's guess. He seems to enjoy matchmaking, as he encouraged the teacher Frank Brown to partake in online dating. He's also a supportive guy as he encourages Frank to try and win back his ex-girlfriend, Monica. There are various other teachers, but they aren't important right now. Peaks Valley Ball Park: This is where The Pickles, a quirky softball team, play. They compete in a Little League championships with other schools.
