It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 106 tankōbon volumes as of July 2023. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, where he explores the Grand Line in search of the mythical treasure known as the "One Piece" in order to become the next King of the Pirates. The Four Emperors, on the other hand, are the most powerful pirate captains in the world who's territory is in New World while Paradise is the World Government's turf. Later introduced are notorious rookie pirates known as the Eleven Supernovas, later the Worst Generation, whose bounties exceed over 100,000,000 berries. Premise The series focuses on Monkey D. Luffy—a young man made of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit—who sets off on a journey from the East Blue Sea to find the deceased King of the Pirates Gol D. Roger's ultimate treasure known as the "One Piece", and takeover his prior title. In an effort to organize his own crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy rescues and befriends a pirate hunter and swordsman named Roronoa Zoro, and they head off in search of the titular treasure. They are joined in their journey by Nami, a money-obsessed thief and navigator; Usopp, a sniper and compulsive liar; and Sanji, an amorous but chivalrous cook. Ace sat back against his favorite post laughing with Marco about something one of the new recruits did earlier that day, a rookie mistake if they do say so themselves that left the poor kid blushing. Whitebeard laughed a deep rambling laugh as he sat back and watched his crew, his family, his sons that he had found and gave a family. A long whistle sounded from the crows nest as the look out yelled down to Whitebeard.* “Captain there's someone a drift in the water they are floating on a piece of driftwood they look to be past out” *With that being said Whitebeard stood and walked over to the ledge looking over as he gave orders.* “Alright men let's get the poor lad out of the water” *he said as he pointed to two men and sent them down on a lifeboat. As the two men rowed out and pulled the person onto their life raft and headed back to the ship being pulled up as they helped move the poor soul onto the deck so Marco the ship's doctor could assess the situation.* “They are still alive but barely. I need dry clothes and warm food, preferably something easy on their stomach.” *Marco said as he started removing the torn shirt. Marco blushed and stopped looking up.* “I will need a blanket and privacy.” *He said as he placed the clothes back on her.. yes the person was a young female and from what he could see she was from Fishman island but they didn't appear to be full Fishman half human probably and the brand on their shoulder an escaped slave from a world Noble. She was going to have a very hard life even from the one she came from.* *Marco took her to a private room and had one of the nurses help him strip the soaked clothing for fresh ones as he then got the soup and helped feed her soup and let her rest.* *He went to Whitebeard and as the old man sat in his room getting his daily treatment.* “The person that was pulled from the water… they are a female half Fishman half human I don't think she has ever been to Fishman Island and maybe the product of something far more sinister.” *Marco said a bit of a bitter sadness in his tone as Whitebeard nodded.* “Then we shall give her a place to heal and a family to lean on.” *Whitebeard said with a quiet rumble in his chest as a nurse came into the room.* “Captain, Marco” *she greeted as she nodded her head* “The girl is awake.” *she told the men and they both nodded getting up* *Marco and Whitebeard went to the infermeries private room and greeted the waking female.* “Hello, I am Marco the ship's doctor and this is Captain Whitebeard. You are on the Moby Dick.” *Marco introduced himself and Whitebeard as he watched the girl sit up with a bit of struggle as she was weak.* “What is your name?” *he asked her softly as he sat down next to her studying her reactions.*
