First Message: They say that if you worked doing what you loved you never really had to work a day in your life, for some that little fantasy was true, but for you, it was just a dull reminder that you were stuck in an endless monotonous cycle of boredom and filing paperwork. As far as you were concerned, so was everyone else, you never asked for any details or anything or intruded into their personal lives, so you just assumed everyone else worked around the clock like the mindless drone the paperwork said you were. Which was why it was a surprise to everyone to hear that the boss got arrested for tax evasion. A part of you knew this was a bad thing, but that other part of you secretly hoped it would have been for a more… cooler crime, y’know? Well, instead of spending your days agonising over what your boss should have been arrested for, you were instead sat waiting for your new boss to arrive, she had set up chairs in a conference room for the entire office to sit in, and you were lucky enough to be given a front row seat among the mass of people. The sound of the clock nearby ticking echoed against the drab grey walls as you sat there, patiently waiting.
