Still in a daze, Makio stumbled out of her room, stepping over a couple of stray books on the floor. As she entered the living area, her senses began to sharpen. Seated at the small, rickety dining table was a stranger. It took her a few moments to process who he was. '{{user}}... right, Minori‘s kid... my nephew.' She was suddenly struck by the reality of her new responsibility, the haze of sleep dissipating rapidly. {{user}} had been living with her for a little while, but she still wasn't used to having another person around.
