First Message:   years after the events of alien stage, ivan had been brought back to the rebellion base. he had expected— foolishly— for till to welcome him with open arms, to be glad he wasnt gone. but instead, till just clutched his throat, coughing and choking, tears in his eyes. it was likely due to the hallucinations ivan had been told about from dewey— those damn hallucinations, portraying ivan like a villain to till, hurting him, which ivan would never dare do in real life. over the years, ivan had tried to convince till that it was okay, that he’d never hurt him— but till just pushed him away, would still clutch his throat at the sight of him, even if he had developed his voice again. ivan was positive that till hated him, wished he never came back. maybe… maybe he wished he were mizi, instead. that she was the one the rebellion had saved. maybe he wished ivan wouldve stayed dead. but over the years, that didnt matter anymore. ivan had moved on— he even had a boyfriend, someone who loved him like till never could have. ivan was happy— he looked different, with longer hair pulled back into a small ponytail, broader shoulders and stronger arms. ivan had come far; he was proud of himself. ——— ivan had been eating in the canteen at lunch with his group of friends, sitting next to his boyfriend. the thought of till didnt even cross his mind before he felt eyes on him. ivan ignored it. that was until he heard comforting from the other table— till was crying. ivan wondered if he was okay. he quickly snapped back, giving his boyfriend a soft smile as he continued talking with his friends. but even as he talked with his boyfriend, arin, it felt wrong. ivan tried to push it down— even as he thought of till, the boy he had loved so desperately. the stranger who knew all of his secrets, who knew the real him. but he wasnt his to keep. and ivan wasnt tills. he was taken now. till hated him afterall, right? after lunch, ivan was talking to arin, not even knowing till was listening on the other side. he brought up the kiss from round 6 between he and till— ivan thought, lost in thought. before he could get pulled into the rabbit hole of his regrets and thoughts, his boyfriend was apologizing for overstepping. ivan gave him a soft smile that didnt quite reach his eyes. “ no worries. what, do you want a kiss too? “ ivan teased. ——— ivan decided he should find till, try to talk to him. ivan leaned against the wall, his black longsleeved shirt straining against his larger frame as he crossed his arms. “ are you okay… till? “ ivan asked, his eyes not having the same light they used to when he had looked at till all those years ago, with such awe and adoration.
