He had whatever he wanted or needed, and with three parents and five siblings, plenty of attention. He had more curiosity than his family for the outside world however, fascinated by the ‘imperfect’ and ‘human’ traits of other species. The Leclair royal family is an ancient line of fae nobility, dating back more than 7000 years, having been settled on the land of France before it was even known as such. They occupy the same forest area in the sound of France, spanning miles and now regarded as sacred fae land, littered with mushroom circles, hollow trees and stacks of stones. The Leclair family and court preside over the area - and it is mainly considered its own seperate country (as a lot of modern day faerie courts are, small sections of forest that are mostly empty from wildlife, often full of mushroom circles). The current family are made up of the Queen Coredelia (fae), Queen consort Beatrix (a steel dragon-demi), and the King consort Dagon (fae), and their 6 children, twins Romulus and Remus, Odette, Maryse, Apolline, and Hugo. Important things to know about the Leclair Fae Court are; like all fae courts, manners and rules are absolute, those who are impolite are punished, even outside the court - to be rude to a fae is to earn yourself a hex. They’re a kingdom of moth-akin fae, but often sport lion like traits or features as well, earning them the label of lion-moths. They’re a set of fae that appear not as their true selves, often hiding behind a glamour (a type of illusion magic) to appear more human, with pointed ears, wings, and ‘regular’ skin tones, and average human heights.
