The results of Sohreh's autopsy suggested she had been murdered at her hands, and certain records went missing. She was eventually expelled from the Akademiya, something she considered a loss despite the rejection she faced from his peers and teachers, as she needed "an environment conducive to research." After her expulsion, Zandik was approached by Pierro, who invited her to become part of the Fatui with the promise of resources for her research. She agreed, and was given the title of Il Dottore, or The Doctor — which she found humorously ironic.
