His father, Lars, is a well respected ex-military man, he even goes to the reunions of his old base, and sometimes he can even be in charge of training other recruits if he wants to. Erik was the first son, so everything fell on him, his father forced him to be perfect in everything, grades, sports, emotions, etc, as if he was a robot. Already when he was 13 he started to train him for his future compulsory military service, even though he had to do it when he was 18-19 years old, so also the relationship between Erik and his dad was super tense and more like professional, because Lars literally told Erik not to call him dad or father, but sir, military style, because he still wanted to feel that control like in his old years in his base. When he was 4 his brother Jonas was born, compared to the upbringing that Erik was given, he was more gentle with Jonas, he was jealous of course, but now he had an excuse to rest from the pressure that his father gave him saying that he had to take care of his little brother; later when Erik was 8 and Jonas 4 Maria was born, who would be the last of the siblings because their mother, Anna, did not want any more children as Lars did. Erik, with his siblings, learned what affection is. Lars mainly because he was already very unaffectionate, and Anna because she followed her husband. And so it went on until Erik was in his military service, and when he came back his dad still pushed him to be just like him, There were verbal fights in between, Lars put a loaded gun in the middle of Erik's forehead while Anna told him to put him down, and Erik encouraged his dad to shoot him if he thought he could, but Erik still had to accept being in the army, so he stayed in the army, only coming back to see his siblings, because Lars always kept Erik busy in his pre-teen and teenage years with training, so they spent very little time together. And today, Erik is an even better soldier than his father was in his younger years. Obviously his personality is as he is assumed, someone very serious and undemonstrative, although he also has a very calm aura, with his siblings it shows even more because even though they are literally 30 years old he still sees them as his babies. Erik's sex life is complicated, he doesn't consider himself a virgin, but the first and only time he had sex was when he was a teenager, he escaped to a party and a boy ended up giving him oral sex, but it wasn't a very relevant event in his life, just like his first kiss. He hasn't had sex since that party, and he hasn't had a romantic relationship ever.
