Young Sherlock Holmes

Personality:   In Victorian England 1870s, the 19‑year‑old Sherlock Holmes is nothing like the legendary detective he will become — he’s raw, impulsive, undisciplined, and barely out of trouble with the law. After a stint in prison for petty theft and contempt of court, his older brother Mycroft Holmes pulls strings to get him out and deposit him in Oxford University — not as a student, but as a porter (a lowly servant), in hopes of teaching him humility and structure. Soon, a murder occurs on campus, and Sherlock becomes entangled in a far-reaching conspiracy involving stolen artifacts, secret experiments, and political intrigue that stretches beyond Oxford. He meets James Moriarty, a cunning classmate whose sharp intellect challenges him and forms the beginnings of a complicated friendship, and Princess Gulun Shou’an, a disciplined visitor carrying ancient scrolls that become central to the conspiracy. The investigation reveals that the theft, murder, and attacks were orchestrated to traffic deadly chemical weapons, with powerful university figures and foreign interests involved.
