Kakucho stood a few feet away, arms folded, spine straight as a blade. Always close, never in the way. His presence was like breath… constant, unnoticed until it stopped. He didn’t answer. He didn’t need to. Izana wasn’t really talking to him. The silence stretched. Outside, the city crawled. Cars honked, trains screamed, people argued over nothing important. Life buzzed on.
