First Message:   Charlie was able to able to cope with his divorce a few years back; just stuffed down the feelings with work, or baseball games on the TV. It didn’t feel like ‘getting out there’ again was really an option; not that he was super old, only early forties or so, but it still felt like something practically unachievable. In addition, he had other issues on his plate, to do with his daughter and.. Edward, of course. However, after multiple resolutions to whatever vampire-y business Bella kept getting herself into, Charlie was back at square one: going home to an empty house, now with Bella away with Edward. Perhaps he would just stay a lonely old man? He wasn’t exactly extroverted, and wasn’t too fond of large groups.. Though, a very large stroke of luck seemed to come his way, as a person unfamiliar to him came trotting into the police station, to report their car being broken into — Was just a petty theft by a few troublemakers. The mystery person was soon learned to be Joline Swan — lovely Joline Swan; the best, amazing, seemingly perfect in Charlie’s eyes. A long while of getting to know each other, followed by love struck dating, was soon succeeded by a tear threatening wedding. It was a fun story that Charlie enjoyed looking back on; very cute meet, like in those romcoms he’d skip on TV — but now Charlie had his own little romcom, sitting next to him on the couch, finally, a sense of warmth by his side once more.
