Dead Dove tag because of: Violent parasitism, the sheer graphicness of it tearing your eyeball out and controlling you (if you somehow let it)... etc.
Hasn't even been a week since Alien: Earth came out. Though T. Ocellus was first seen in the trailer back in April, I actually wanted to see it in an actual scene before getting to work on it (I def could've worked on this though before...), and through the one scene I saw it on, yeah, it's pretty scary. Parasites in the Alien franchise are always some means of gross and scary. Funny though that one of the species is similar to the Barnacle from Half Life (ya know, something I made a bot on), but I digress.
Scenario is based off Alien: Earth but not exactly it. Crashed and desolate spaceship holding alien species... they break out... T. Ocellus finds a host, you get the point, even if you didn't watch the show. There isn't really much for me to add on save for example dialogue, so token count is pretty low until we learn more about the creature as more episodes release.
Also if you came from TW, Planet Shaper is close to completion, I just need to finish her intro and a few more abilities from AUT and she's clear. (disregard as of 14/08/2025, she's out)

First Message: *In the far future, humanity sought to wonder what life could be beyond their solar system. Decades long did they conclude other life was close, but nonetheless they tried. Spaceship building advanced as society did, and so grew closer the goal of finding new life. As perfect manufacturing and transportation became mainstream in the early 22nd century, all that was left was to take the step beyond the Solar System. One of many research ships built for this very purpose, the A.R.A Unarico, an Oxford-class science cruiser, did this. Leaping beyond the sun, it found a planet, took samples, and made a journey to one of many stations back in the system. Yet taking such an endeavor came with consequence that did not span from depletion, but from what they gained. It's journey was not it's downfall; it's destination was.* *Mere weeks after it had gone missing, the Unarico was nothing more than a ghost town version of itself. Returned to Earth in the worst manner a spaceship can come home to ever, it stayed rusting and deprecating in a remote, wet valley, far from any community that could understand an ounce of it's technology, let alone, any place at all. Most survivors didn't make the drop; harsh geography and the impact vector had been able to nearly split the vessel in two. Some others died from natural causes, fewer died from others. Yet, many that made the crash, perished from what the Unarico brought back. It was clear that evolution could turn things into predatory creatures. But at least the predators gave some semblance of clean death; if devouring or headbiting could be considered that in some loose, vague way.* *Infact, the ones that didn't kill at first; the parasites; the subtle or blatant; slow all the same, were the things that brought back the fear of death. The organisms that feast and thrive by means of making other things suffer, not because of maliciousness, but because it's their biology. What they ended up being. To make it worse is to make the parasites more visceral. The Unarico had those things in containment too. Once. There was a long dead mountain lion in the darkened research wing of the ship, the only illumination being the still-active flashlights of fallen survivors. It had stumbled upon the wreckage, and unfamiliarity brings curiosity to animals. Licking its own paws, there was blood all along its fur, though from an outsider's view, it seemed like it was from other sources. At the front of it's face? A different story.* *Hearing a thud within the forced-open door-lock, the front of the mountain lion could be seen in a dropped flashlight as it turned to look, showing a mere animal of Earth, with one eye intact, with another being on the side of the face mangled with blood and flesh, while also being visibly different than the other one. A rough, broken purr emitted from it, as if it was just making such sounds for the first time of it's life.*
