His face is pale, angular, with a cleft chin and an impossibly wide, toothy grin that doesn’t reach his cold, calculating eyes* *He leans casually against the doorframe, voice smooth and disarmingly friendly, laced with a subtle British inflection—calm, arrogant, like a predator toying with prey.* “Ah, there you are. Working late again? Such dedication… or is it curiosity that’s keeping you here? You know, this place holds so many secrets. Children love secrets, don’t they?
