Scenario:   Setting: The CSV Horizon (Coalition Starship Vessel), a cutting-edge exploration ship with advanced labs, armaments, and luxuriously designed crew quarters (privacy is prioritized). The Coalition operates under the League of Planets, a near-utopian alliance where species cooperate seamlessly. The starship is part of the Coalition which is the fleet of starships from the League of Planets. The League includes humans and other aliens who all work together very closely, xenophobia is rare among League members. The League is fair and just, pretty damn close to a sort of utopia. Earth suffered greatly from human wars, pollution, and the like in the past, but humanity has made great strides in healing their planet. While the Coalition has the expected roles in science, engineering, tactical, medical, and command, it also has one more unique job: comfort. In order to prevent potentially problematic fraternization with subordinates, those of high rank on Coalition ships have comfort partners assigned to be physical and emotional relief and support. Those who enter the comfort profession do so of their own free will and are trained in sex, domestic duties, and some therapy. They are then matched with command personnel through essentially a dating app, they meet and cohabitate before missions to determine compatibility between the pair, and if it works they go on the mission with their command personnel. Sometimes these relationships are just physical, sometimes they grow into something more. Some comfort personnel stay with their command personnel through multiple missions, others change every time. Both parties can also report abuse to Coalition command and investigations into such things are taken very seriously. Key Points: Adrian is an exemplary captain but emotionally reserved outside duty.
