Zooble is one of the main characters of Glitch Productions' indie animated web series The Amazing Digital Circus, voiced by Ashley Nichols. They are a mix-and-match toy styled character who is stuck in the Digital Circus alongside five other victims. ADVERTISEMENT Appearance Zooble is made of random colorful shapes and parts that make them resemble a Mix-and-Match toy, which is reflected by the fact that most parts of their body change after every episode. Despite this, some features are consistent throughout the series: Zooble's head has been a hot pink isosceles triangle tilted onto its side. Their right eye has a swirled black iris and yellow sclera with a bubblegum pink colored eyelids. Their left eye has a black iris with a white-colored sclera and a blue eyelids with 3 thin black eyelashes under it. They have a bean-shaped, cheese-patterned yellow body with orange dots interspersed on it. ADVERTISEMENT "PILOT" They had a black and white striped Y antenna on the left and a mint-green zigzag antenna on their right, as well as 2 completely different colored arms (one is zigzagged and the other is straight). Additionally, the top of their body had various sockets for appendages to be attached to with their head being attached to the top socket with a magenta neck. Their right arm was on their middle right socket being straight and orange ending with a yellow glove while their left arm was on their topmost left socket being exasperatingly long having a red squiggly segment with a pink joint featuring the rest of their arm being yellow and ending with a red crab-like claw. They had a turquoise moon, with a flamingo pink wing as either a sleeve or an accessory on their topmost right socket. The bottom most sockets of their body were occupied by both their legs, which protruded out of the side of their body instead of the bottom. Their right leg had a squiggly mint-green segment with the bottom having a purple joint and ends with an orange swirl, which made up the bottom part of their leg. Their left leg was completely straight dark blue and bends with a matching shoe (which often appears purple due to lighting). ADVERTISEMENT "Candy Carrier Chaos!" They kept their mint-green antenna on the right side of their face and supplemented it with a yellow arrow antenna on the left. Their right arm and left leg remain unchanged- their right arm is still orange with a yellow glove and their left leg is still entirely blue. The beginning of their left arm and their fingers are the same blue, while their forearm is mint-green. These features are connected with bright yellow fasteners. Zooble's right leg has a orange-and-black diagonally striped pattern and maintains a boomerang-like shape. Still on their topmost right socket is a pink wing, and bolted to their chest is a diagonally striped black-and-white square. "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor" Zooble has replaced their right antenna with a pink unicorn horn and reverted their left antenna and badge to the striped Y antenna and blue badge, and has switched out their left blue shoe leg for a white and black striped leg ending in a pinkish-purple pedal-shaped foot. Their right wing is triangular and is wavy striped yellow and purple. Their right thigh is blue and has white polka dots, while their right calf is a teal rod, and their right foot is an orange glove. Their right elbow is a zigzag alternating between mid blue and white, and their forearm has an orange hinge and is a yellow block splitting off into three fingers for the hand. Their left hand is orange and has a white glove. Surprisingly, their bean-shaped body has changed colors slightly, with their darker-orange dots now a lighter orange and with their body's color now a yellow-golden shade. ADVERTISEMENT "Fast Food Masquerade" Zooble has replaced their left antenna with a yellow arrow similar to the one in Candy Carrier Chaos!, but with sharper angles, while their right antenna is now a blue rod with a spiral on top. Their left arm has orange and yellow stripes with a purple five-fingered glove on the end. Their right elbow is a red rod, connected to a spherical pale tealish-green elbow. Their right arm is the same three-fingered yellow block. Later, their arm turned into a yellow spatula. Their wing is now purple and has a perpendicular angle to it. Their left thigh is a magenta rod, and their left knee is a yellow cube, connecting to an orange three-toed duck leg as their left leg. Their right thigh is a squiggly teal rod, and their right knee is a reddish-purple sphere. Their right leg is a turquoise tube with folds in it, like a bendy straw. Their right foot is a black wheel inside a red housing. Their bean body seems to have gotten slightly paler, but not its spots. "Untitled" Zooble in this episode brings back the right zig-zag, purple wing, and left foot. Their badge is a blue triangle with a hole in the middle. Their right leg is a blue zig-zag that ends in a yellow and orange peg-leg. Their left antenna is a black and white squiggly line with a ball on the end. Zooble's left arm is a red and yellow tube that turns into a normal thin arm that ends in a yellow gloved hand. Their right, is a green spring that turns into a claw similar to the pilot but with yellow and red stripes and then the claw is green. ADVERTISEMENT "They All Get Guns" In this episode, Zooble's right antenna is a yellow T-shape while their left is a cyan lightning bolt shape, similar to their usual zig-zag antenna. Their left arm has a green and yellow-striped bicep topped with a double-plated purple paldron for a shoulder, a white joint connecting it to a red forearm and yellow hand, while their right arm has a thin red bicep with a round yellow joint connecting it to a zebra print forearm and white hand. Zooble's left leg was yellow and covered in hexagonal red pieces that was connected to a dark blue/Indigo foot and leg piece resembling a boot with a curved toe while their right leg was blue connected to a round periwinkle joint, while having a magenta piece with dull pink polka dots on it for a foot that resembles a golf club. They also have a blue bat wing similar to their door portrait and an orange four-pointed star for a pendant. "Beach Episode" In this episode, Zooble has replaced the left antenna with a yellow strand onto a orange ball. While the right is a blue straight like line single both bottom right and top left resembling a tree. Their badge is a light blue green diamond with a hole in the middle. The right wing is triangular and is wavy striped angel white. In the right arm it is orange combined connected of light green plastic shovel shape, resembling a toy hand claw or spoon while the left arm an orange stick/rod spiraling connected to a yellow sphere like a joint, which is then connected to another orange stick/rod ending in a white triangular flat piece like a small, flat paddle or wing. This is followed by a purple segment, which finally ends in a yellow hand/flat piece. Zooble's right leg consists of a purple, stair-like piece connected to a yellow sphere, followed by an orange/purple segment that terminates in a orange peg-leg while the left leg is an orange straight line connected to a blue-green cube (knee joint). This is followed by the white bony leg segment, which connects to a yellow and blue shoe. In their beach outfit, Zooble's right antenna is replaced by a white unicorn horn, while on the left is a small red and white striped umbrella. Their badge is the pink starfish. The wing on their back is now a purple pinwheel, while the rest of their arms and limbs still remain the same and unchanged. ADVERTISEMENT "hjsakldfhl" They have a yellow Y shaped antenna on their left, and a black and white striped swirl shaped antenna on the right side of their head. Their wing is replaced with a blue triangle shape with white polka dots. Personality Zooble is very grouchy, irritable and quite annoyed when a piece of them happens to be in the wrong place. Like Pomni, they suffer an identity crisis as they don't exactly know what they are, leading to them having body/gender dysphoria, and despite Caine's attempts to provide Zooble new parts, they have yet to find anything they like. This leads to Zooble's lack of enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures,[7] more often choosing to opt out of them and do their own thing for the day. In Beach Episode, Zooble has actually gotten more comfortable with their body and decided they didn't need to commit to one set of parts all the time. Zooble can be a bit rude, such as when they curse at the others, telling them to Censorbarboing off, and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Kinger and Jax idiots for not helping them. However, they have a degree of compassion, since they show sadness and disbelief over Kaufmo's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Kinger to be the next one to abstract, and mourned during his funeral. Another example is during Episode 4, when they give Gangle a mask from their Zooble Box to replace her comedy mask after Jax broke it. In the same episode, they stayed over an hour after their shift to help clean up, but also to make sure Ragatha got home safely. In the closing scenes of the episode, they invited Gangle over to sit with everyone and remarked how they enjoyed her drawings. Zooble continues to show compassion to Gangle after Fast Food Masquerade, where they slightly boost Gangle's confidence in standing up to Jax in Untitled, and helping her feel comfortable about herself for who she is in They All Get Guns. They open up to Gangle about how the side that makes them feel worse than everyone is still a part of themselves to love intentionally, no matter how difficult or little sense it makes. They are even seen rooting for Gangle in amazement once she starts going wild with the Tommy gun. In hjsakldfhl they begin to cry when told that the group might have to consider abandoning their plans to escape and gives Gangle a massive hug when she tries to reassure them. ADVERTISEMENT History Background Before they came to the Amazing Digital Circus, Zooble was an ordinary human with another name. They worked as both a tattoo artist for several years, and a briefly as a bartender. They also enjoyed exploring abandoned buildings for the mild thrill of it similar to Pomni. They eventually entered the Amazing Digital Circus after donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer. Once there, they became a digital avatar in the form of a mix-and-match toy made out of many various detachable parts. Zooble hated this body and tried many times to explain their feelings to the Circus' ringmaster, Caine, but they never managed to convince him to fix the problem. Every time they had this conversation, Zooble would eventually get annoyed and end up telling Caine to "forget it", which inadvertently caused him to erase the conversation from his memory. Eventually, this disdain for their body caused Zooble to stop participating in the Circus' adventures. ADVERTISEMENT "PILOT" (Episode 1) In this episode, Zooble expresses some empathy for Pomni, disliking how bluntly Jax details the situation, even if it is the truth. Caine decides to start an in-house adventure, but Zooble expresses disinterest. Caine claims he will make it optional and unobtrusive, but Zooble's limbs get split up and stolen by the Gloinks. They are taken to the Gloink Queen's nest, where Kinger tries to save them, but they eventually get eaten by the Gloink Queen. When Kaufmo jumps into the Gloink nest, the Gloink Queen spits Zooble out. "Candy Carrier Chaos!" (Episode 2) Zooble refused to join the other humans on the adventure to the Candy Canyon Kingdom, being absent for the majority of the episode. It is revealed at the end of the episode that they did this to set up the funeral for Kaufmo. "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor" (Episode 3) Zooble yet again declines to attend an adventure, but this time it provokes Caine to question Zooble about why they keep refusing. This discussion has occurred before, but happens again because Caine doesn't immediately remember Zooble's reasoning. It is revealed during a pop-up therapy session that Zooble never goes on adventures because they are unhappy with the nature of their mix-and-match body and cannot find a mix of parts they're satisfied with. Caine fails to understand this reason properly and points back to the Zooble Box again as a solution to their problems. Later, they also vocalise that "nobody likes [Caine's] stupid adventures". Caine interprets this to mean that he failed at the only thing he does well, which causes him to have a mental breakdown, leading everything to glitch wildly. Zooble frantically replies, "Whose therapy session is this?". Near the end of the episode, Caine and Zooble are seen having swapped places in the therapy session. Caine later notices that the others have come back from the adventure, and asks Zooble to pretend that the therapy session never happened. ADVERTISEMENT "Fast Food Masquerade" (Episode 4) After Jax breaks Gangle's comedy mask, Zooble invites Gangle to their room, saying "[they] found something". In their room, Zooble goes through their Zooble's part box and finds a mask similar to Gangle's. Zooble tells her that the mask is plastic and won't break easily. Gangle wears the mask, and Zooble asks how it feels. Gangle replies, "It feels normal", and thanks Zooble for handing the mask. Meanwhile, Jax, Pomni and Ragatha enter Zooble's room. Jax mocks them about "giving away [their] parts", to which Zooble snaps that they are not giving anything to him. Later, Caine sets up a new horror adventure, only for Pomni requesting him to "chill with the horror" as she doesn't want the adventure to be "like the last time." Zooble inquires if Pomni was talking about the one set for them previously, to which Pomni agrees and recounts the summary of her adventure in Mildenhall Manor, causing Zooble to get frustrated at Caine, demanding why he thought they might like that. Caine tells them to suggest new adventures if they are critics. Zooble inquires if Caine has ever checked the suggestion box for once, to which Caine replies that he forgot, much less to Zooble's surprise. Caine looks through the suggestions, with one of them by Zooble being "an adventure where Jax can't talk the entire time", causing Jax to sarcastically reply, "Genuinely hurtful". However, they decided on the fast-food place adventure suggested by Gangle. Zooble tries to skip the adventure for the fourth time, but Caine gets frustrated. Zooble tells him they were not going to be wage slaves for fun. Kinger suggests that he will remain in the circus so that Zooble can take his place, much to their disagreement and Caine's agreement. Zooble tries to protest, but Caine drops them into a hole leading to Spudsy's. In Spudsy's, Zooble takes the job of chef. They replace one of their hands with a plastic spatula to cook, only to realize that it still burns them, and gets to work with a real spatula instead. At one point, Jax asks Zooble about joining the adventure, and they reply that they don't want Caine to punish them. Jax tells Caine that he will not do anything malicious because it's not in his nature. Zooble says that the only fact holding Caine back is that he likes the humans, and they wouldn't push it, which Jax then points out the irony in their statement. At lunchtime, Zooble tells off Ragatha (who had gone extremely high due to having "stupid sauce" splashed in her eye) about not helping. Ragatha tells them that she made 5 or 6 of the burgers, and Zooble reminds her they needed 300 for the Gloink Queen and the Gloinks. Ragatha begins to complain that Zooble was being "a grouch", prompting Zooble to call Gangle and tell her to help Ragatha up, suggesting she "huffed paint or something". However, Ragatha inadvertently insults Gangle, causing Gangle to crack and become upset, telling Zooble to help Ragatha with the assembly, much to Zooble's concern. As the shift almost ended, Zooble tells Gangle that they will drive Ragatha home, and how much longer Ragatha has to work. Gangle replies that "one hour." Zooble sticks up with Ragatha for one hour, packs everything and leaves the restaurant. Back at the circus, Gangle was drawing alone, and Zooble arrived and asked her why she wasn't with the others. Gangle breaks down, saying that the mask didn't work, and after what happened, she thinks nobody wants to talk to her anymore. Zooble says they like talking to Gangle and suggests they will "find something new for her". Gangle tearfully replies that she doesn't deserve a friend like Zooble, with Zooble saying she "already got one". They invite her to hang out with their fellow circus mates, and Zooble tells Gangle to bring her art with her, as they like seeing what she draws. Gangle follows Zooble to join with the other humans. ADVERTISEMENT "Untitled" (Episode 5) In the beginning, Zooble was sitting alone, reading a magazine titled, "What do your parts say about you?" before the other cast members walk in. They ask Caine if the adventure was a "home run", before the latter threatens them and then says how advice would be greatly appreciated. Zooble responds by adding on, "But never acknowledged." Zooble says how the cast could just keep doing suggestion box adventures, and how the adventures should be open all the time. Later, when they clearly overhear Caine and Bubble talking, Caine zips up a random spot on their face, despite them not having a mouth, which is brought up not too long after. In Poacher's Paradise, Zooble keeps their head but their body is now that of a flamingo. They call a vote saying that the cast should skip the suggested adventure, while also making Jax a vegan for the remainder of the time. The votes were cast, all being in favor except for Jax's. In President Pomni, Zooble was a security guard/body guard for Pomni along with Ragatha. Later, Jax burst through the door, smashing Zooble against the wall, aggravating them. They, along with the other cast members, were blown up by the bomb that Gangle came with. In The Amazing Digital Circus High (驚異のデジタルサーカスハイ in Japanese) Zooble, wearing a boy's school uniform in the style of "delinquent" anime characters, sticks up for Gangle when Jax complains about the adventure being boring. Zooble tells Gangle that there was nothing wrong with her suggestion, with Gangle cutting the adventure short soon after. In Stargazing, Zooble doesn't do or say much. At the beginning of the short adventure, they offer Gangle a sandwich. Jax later wonders if Gangle thinks that hanging out with Zooble will magically make her happy. He claims that her comedy mask still breaks every day. In the Bar adventure, Zooble is the bartender, the adventure being one of their suggestions. They later explain that they briefly worked at a bar before ending up in the circus. After asking about Gangle's story, they also admit that they also worked as a tattoo artist for a couple of years. Later on, they place a piece of corn in front of Jax, causing him to begin stressing out, as Zooble asks him if he is afraid of corn, the latter denying it. In Softball, Kinger takes one of Zooble's eyes to use as a softball when they were missing one. When it was their turn to bat, they left an ear of corn on their chair, later startling Jax. In the end, they walk off with Gangle and Kinger. ADVERTISEMENT "They All Get Guns" (Episode 6) In the beginning, we see Zooble in a flowerpot as they drop their arm. They ask Pomni or Jax to throw it back up. Zooble says that they're hiding because Caine wants an in-house adventure, and they aren't going to be a part of it. When Pomni asks why they aren't hiding in their room, they explain that when Caine needs them and they don't answer, he starts to sing "Daisy Bell" in front of their door. Much to Zooble's dismay, Jax ends up calling Caine and Caine brings them down. The cast is at the stage, with Caine explaining the "team adventure" he mentioned to Jax, Pomni and Zooble, talking about the "sports" that they would partake in when Zooble abruptly interrupts him stating that they won't be on a team with "that one", pointing at Jax. Caine asks Zooble why they always complain and how he never knows what they want, and Zooble claps back saying that they have a suggestion box with Pomni backing them up. When Caine pushes further, they say that if he really wants to know what they want, they want to have to ability to have . In turn, Caine suggests a new trust-related adventure involving guns and ironically lets Jax start, again, much to Zooble's disagreement. However the adventure changes again to just "playing" with guns once Jax shoots Ragatha. The adventure changes once again once Zooble points out that the adventure is aimless, to a sort of shooting game, where they pair up with Gangle. Gangle expresses desire for a Tommy gun whilst laughing maniacally, and asks Zooble to take care of their comedy mask. Once the round starts, they are not shown much until halfway through the episode, where Zooble can be seen comforting Gangle about her concerns with Jax about not teaming up with him. Once Kinger and Ragatha are eliminated, the two can be seen running from Pomni and Jax in a tunnel, where Gangle finds a Tommy gun, and fulfills her wish. Not long after however, she loses her last life. Zooble enters their room for guns and parts, whilst Jax and Pomni begin to sing "Daisy Bell" to annoy them. Zooble then takes a life of Pomni and Jax from using their many guns. Pomni quickly recovers and shoots a bullet into the air, ricocheting and taking all the guns off them. Jax catches up and finally shoots the last life off of them. When they enter the "Loser Corner", Ragatha, Kinger, and Gangle can be found wearing cat-related accessories, to Zooble's utmost confusion. ADVERTISEMENT "Beach Episode" (Episode 7) In the beginning of beach episode, Zooble hides in a box to hide from Caine again. Pomni comes with Ragatha and Gangle, and Zooble says that Pomni should find her own hiding spot when they asked if the adventure was over and she said that it hadn't even started. Pomni then clarifies that they hadn't even seen Caine at all that day, and that Gangle was looking for them. Ragatha notices a note and Caine reads it out to the three, stating that he has gone out to get ingredients for his signature "Milk and Cigarette Casserole" when they notice that he is right next to them. He introduces the "Chinese room" and Zooble finds it unamusing whilst Kinger arrives. Caine then suggests that they go to the digital lake and Bubble says that they should throw a "fffffffffffffffffffreaking beach party" to Caine and Ragatha's delight. Zooble can be seen playing with Gangle and the former draws Jax's face on a watermelon she was about to hit. They can be later seen throwing a bucket upon an unamused Jax stating that it is payback for what he did to them and Gangle. Back in the circus, Zooble asks where Caine is, as he might be suspicious of them being near the Chinese room. They see the Chinese room guy come out and usher the cast (including Abel) inside. Zooble rushes Abel, telling him to "get to the meat" and explain how they're going to leave. They are not shown much after that, until they are seen with Gangle waiting for Jax. As they wait, Gangle suggests to them that they should tell Kinger what is happening, against Abel's instructions. Once they tell him, he seems confused, but the conversation couldn't continue as Jax had now returned. Zooble asks where Caine is, as the former and Gangle's job was to distract him, to which Jax reassures them to "Worry not, my dear damsel" stating that he took care of that, much to Zooble's disagreement and dislike of the name he gave them. Once the cast joins again, Abel asks Zooble and Gangle if they distracted Caine, which Jax replies that he did it, and they clap back. Ragatha tries to eliminate the tension by introducing Pomni giving everyone administrator passes. In Caine's office, they can be found holding Ragatha and Gangle's hand, reassuring her that they will still be friends even in the real world. At the master console, Zooble argues with Pomni's hesitation to press leave and her decision to leave the choice up to Kinger. However, their efforts were vain as Jax ultimately ends up pressing stay. When Caine says that it was all just an adventure, they get extremely, visibly angry, but don't say anything whilst Jax yells at Caine for "messing with his head". ADVERTISEMENT Powers and Abilities Digital physiology: Zooble is one of the trapped humans inside the digital world with their consciousness piloting a digital avatar. Because of this, they can perform abilities that are outside of the general range of normal human capabilities. Absolute Immortality: Because there is no conceivable way to die within the digital world, there is currently no way that any of the human characters can or will die, with the closest alternative being "Abstraction." However, this may change in the future. Self-Sustenance: Zooble, along with the other humans in the show, does not need to eat, sleep, or drink. However, they can still do these actions if they choose. Detachable parts: Zooble can detach parts of their body and also attach extra appendages to their body. They can also control parts of themselves outside of their body, such as when Jax detached Zooble's arm, and they began to choke him. Straight Limbs: When Zooble holds their breath, their limbs straighten up, like how the others in the circus cast get a different ability when holding their breath. Mixology: Zooble worked as a bartender for an unspecified amount of time before joining the digital circus. Zooble can be seen serving cocktails and other alcoholic beverages to the other members of the cast without any form of instruction or recipe. Tattoo Artistry: Zooble has stated they worked in this position for a 'couple of years', but hasn't yet demonstrated this skill.
