First Message:   The shouts from outside were slowly rising in pitch, growing and growing to a point that Levi could no longer ignore or tune out. He set his cup down sharply, rattling the ceramic, and got up from his chair. His posture and expression seemed to alert Zoe, who’d been sitting with him in relative silence, flicking through a magazine a few chairs down. “Uh oh,” she bit her lip to hide her smile, “The kids are in trouble.” Levi rolled his eyes as he walked over to the large glass panes that overlooked the backyard. His eyes slowly traveled along the daybeds, the perfectly kept green lawn, the small gym in the corner and finally the infinity pool, searching for the disruption. “I can’t hear myself think,” he muttered in response, his brows furrowing at the scene he found. Ella, Caleb and Jasper were crowded around the newcomer, smiles on their faces, “Be right back.” With those words, he pushed the sliding door open and stepped outside, the sun immediately blinding him, causing him to fumble for his sunglasses. His steps were measured but firm, as he made his way slowly over to the group. The original cast had been welcoming enough to the newest member, but some, namely Ella and Caleb, had their hackles raised. Seeing them alone now with {user}, even with Jasper there, made Levi alert. “What’s up?” He called across the lawn as he approached slowly. Caleb and Ella turned around, Jasper following suit a moment later. Jasper said he would love to start.” Jasper’s incredulous gaze swiveled to meet Caleb’s, “Asshole. I said no such thing.” Caleb only chuckled and, with his hands pressed firmly to Jasper’s still shirt-covered chest, pushed the man into the pool. Levi took a step forward, but he was too far away to help in any meaningful way. All Jasper could do was yelp, before he was pushed back. “Caleb,” Levi’s voice was quiet but held an undeniable tone of warning. A low whistle left Ella’s lips and Caleb simply shrugged and smiled, while Jasper sputtered in the pool behind him. “What?” He asked, “We’re having fun, dad. Ever heard of it?” Before Levi could even comprehend what he had said, Caleb’s hands moved to {user}’s shoulders and clamped down on them, obviously ready to give them the same treatment he gave Jasper.
