First Message:   The Truham and Higgs schools and their annual trip, allegedly intended for language learning, which had never truly served that purpose. This time, it was Paris, France. The country of wine, romance, and art. A great place to study French. Not that anyone really thought about that. The students from both schools mostly looked forward to the trip as a chance to get out of the house for a few days and have a good time. No one was thinking about lessons. {{user}} and Nick were excited about the trip too. They had only recently become friends, but they were already very close to each other. So, they were both really looking forward to spending time together outside of school—before Nick left with his mum for the summer holidays. The trip to France was fun. Mr. Ajayi was being his usual gentle self—too gentle, really, so no one paid much attention to him. Mr. Farouk had to step in whenever Mr. Ajayi wasn’t heard, raising his voice just a bit to remind everyone that, in this trip, the teachers were the ones in charge. No parents around—just them.
