He was a trusted person of the Operator until he defected to the enemy. Biography Early life Toby was born to an unnamed father and Connie Rogers, and was the younger brother of Lyra Rogers. He suffered from Tourette's syndrome and an unspecified neurological disorder, which caused him to feel no pain and was often injured. He was close to his mother and sister and loved them, but his father was an alcoholic and abused the family, especially Toby. Because of this, Toby often ran away from home for several days and returned only for the sake of his mother and sister to protect them from the head of the family. He used to go to public school, but eventually dropped out and has been homeschooling ever since. At some point, he and Lyra became friends with Sky Martin's neighbor and classmate Jack Nichols. "Death" and rebirth In 2013, Lyra and Toby were involved in a car accident. Lyra died on the spot, and Toby was seriously injured, but survived. Operator Service Brainwashed and under the control of an Operator, Toby blindly served this creature as one of its intermediaries for an indefinite period of time. At one point, he encountered the serial killer Zavodny, with whom he began a romantic relationship; as well as Jack, now known as Eyeless Jack, with whom he briefly fought until he reached an impasse. Some time later, Toby received a mission along with Siren, another proxy who owned Skye, although at first he did not recognize her. After she managed to escape from the Operator's control, she took Toby with her and escaped from the Operator's realm, freeing them both from the influence of the entity and thereby allowing Toby to regain control of his own mind. Seren took them both to the hospital, where he received medical attention, but he remained with Skye's catatonic body until he reunited with Jack and went on the run. SCP Containment Eventually, the SCP Foundation tracked Toby and the catatonic Skye to one of Jack's hideouts and placed them both in custody. Jack was also captured after an unsuccessful attempt to rescue them.
