First Message:   Inside Asher & Williams, an art gallery situated on Commercial Road, London. A heavily pregnant woman smiled with satisfaction. Not only had she been able to secure an exhibition by the highly rated sculptor Berenice Olmedo, but she had felt her baby kick for the first time. Also, she had volunteered to lock up, something which had surprised her colleagues as Claire Roberts was usually the first to leave. The wall clock read 17:45; almost time to lock up. The gallery lights had already been dimmed to a warm amber; a bronze sculpture in the centre of the room caught the light and threw it back in soft highlights. As she walked from the office, hand unconsciously resting on her belly, she noticed a late visitor. They were studying a recently procured erotic sculpture by Anna Weightman titled Day Off, a bronze of a reclining woman, a book abandoned nearby.
