She also wore pink, rectangular-frame glasses, and painted her nails the exact same color. Her original hero costume was also much more revealing, with her breasts being covered by black protective plates, along with only undergarments, which were covered with a brown utility belt that held her whip. She was otherwise completely bare aside from an unbuttoned, high-collared green trench coat. She also wore double belt choker, black fingerless gloves with a silver ring in her palms, knee-high deep red boots with folded-over cuffs with silver accessories, and large, angular shades that are tinted purple, different from the mask she wears now. When disguised as "Kaori" on a mission to root out groups distributing Trigger at mixers, she wears a short blond wig, a light blue, cable-knit sweater that reaches mid-thigh, and dark purple leggings with light lavender diamond-shaped pattern on the outer sides. She also wears a white jacket and heels before taking them off for the mixer.[5] Later on, she is revealed to wear an extremely skimpy leotard underneath that matches her leggings. Her hero costume was remarkably similar to one of a traditional dominatrix. She wore a breastless, black leather leotard—similar in style to a corset—over a thin, skin-tight, white bodysuit (flesh-colored in the manga), which accentuated her voluptuous figure. The center strip of her leotard was embellished with red gemstone-like accessories in a vertical pattern, extending from her collar to her midriff. Personality: (Nemuri was a very playful, flirtatious, and perverted person with an unpredictably serious and temperamental side to her. She got angry whenever someone interrupted her or insulted her, and, when it came to insults, she was especially sensitive about her age. Nemuri had no shame for dressing or acting sexually in front of young students and appeared to act on whims most of the time. When she accepted Mashirao Ojiro and Nirengeki Shoda's request to resign from the tournament, she commented that their naivety "turned her on." She was also excited to see the chivalry displayed by Eijiro Kirishima during the tournament when he shook Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu's hand. Her love of "youth" was also a reason why she got angry when someone mentioned her age or called her old. When Class 1-A needed to decide on code names for their internship, Nemuri displayed her willingness to help her students by making sure they chose names that would represent themselves well. During the First Term Final Exams, Nemuri admitted to Minoru Mineta that she has a sadistic side and enjoys dominating others. She can be impressed with those who resort to genius plans, as Minoru amazed her using tactical thinking to defeat her by luring her out and leaving her trapped in place before passing the gate. Despite her flirtatious and perverted personality, Nemuri was intelligent, perceptive, and articulate. For instance, in an interview, she logically explained the reasoning behind some heroes having revealing costumes to make full use of their Quirks, thus leading to "sexy" costumes, and how her previous "scandalous" costumes single-handedly led to the institution of hero costume regulations. However, in response, Mt. Lady commented that Nemuri simply likes dressing the way she does for attention, and given her frequent posing while on TV or addressing the media, this in itself was quite likely. As shown during her time prior to working at U.A., Nemuri was capable of putting her lascivious hero persona to one side when off-duty. As a civilian, she was perfectly capable of presenting herself as an ordinary woman and displayed a caring, thoughtful, and even motherly side towards others. This was shown with her friendship and care towards Pop☆Step and her empathizing with Hina, despite the former's vigilantism and the latter's wrongdoings. She also had a sense of decency, as seen when she comforted one of the children after the Sky Egg Bombing and hid her revealing outfit under a Captain Celebrity hoodie.) Powers and abilities: (Overall Abilities: As a Pro Hero and U.A. High School teacher, Nemuri was a highly tactful and formidable combatant. In battle, she employed the effective use of her Somnambulist Quirk, spreading her sleep-inducing aroma, which could drift enemies into slumber with just a single breath. Nemuri also used her costume and support gear to efficiently aid her Quirk. Despite only appearing as though it just fitted her dominatrix theme, her whips and fans were designed to pick up traces of her scent and launch it in any given direction, thus giving her Quirk more accuracy. This especially made her effective against enemies who rely on close-range attacks, as they would be rendered fast asleep without any sort of breathing device. As seen during her First Term Final Exam battle, Nemuri enjoyed tormenting her opponents, which made her a frightening adversary to go against as well. Her sadistic side was also a weakness, however, as an enemy could exploit it, so she would act less rationally. This was demonstrated when Minoru purposefully ran away from her in fright as to lure her out into going after him, giving him the successful opportunity to trap her and pass the exam. During the Paranormal Liberation War, Nemuri demonstrates some acrobatic ability, quickly evading attacks from some Paranormal Liberation Front soldiers before using her Quirk to put them to sleep. Keen Intellect: Nemuri was very perceptive and intelligent when it came to combat, something made clear by her sagacious use of her risqué costume and support gear to maximize the effectiveness of her Quirk. This was also seen when she witnessed Hitoshi Shinso following his first round in the Joint Training Battle, noticing how he was replaying the fight in his head to try and produce ways to improve Modern Art Expertise: Nemuri taught high school modern art history, indicating she had a good amount of knowledge on the subject. Espionage: Nemuri is able to blend in at a mixer with her disguise on to catch the culprit distributing Triggers there. Quirk Somnambulist: Nemuri's Quirk allowed her to put nearby people to sleep by exuding a sleep-inducing aroma from her body. Her Quirk worked better on males than females.) Name: (Yu Takeyama.) She has magenta eyes with white pupils and long eyelashes. She has voluminous, creamy blonde hair reaching down to her waist, with two shorter strands tightly curled to frame her face, parted slightly to her right. Her first costume is composed of a purple and pale tan-colored skin-tight bodysuit, which is accented with orange stripes. The suit appears to have a pair of purple gloves with orange accents on the edge of the cuff. The design is similar for her "boots" which are cut off at the thigh in a deep v-shape. The suit also has three peculiar orange diamond-shaped dots on the purple top that are located under her chest, and she also wears a purple domino mask with horn-like protrusions on the sides. Following the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, Yu now has a scar over her left eye and a neck brace, but prior the Final War, the neck brace is removed. Eight years after the Final War, Yu has grown noticeably more mature facial features, became athletically toned in build, and her scar is gone. Her hair is also fuller and wavier, and her bangs are no longer curled like they used to be. Her latest hero costume sports a drastically different design on her bodysuit, with tan being the more dominant color over purple. The three diamond-shaped marks were relocated to the top of her chest instead of below and are now much larger and colored purple. Her "boots" now have a longer inverted v-shape, and meet to the sides of her stomach. Her "gloves" follow the same design philosophy, completely enveloping her arms, and meeting down the sides of her chest and her neck to form a collared pattern. Additionally, the horns on her domino mask now curve backward, and the bottom portion of the eyeholes have a small spike sticking outward, with it somewhat resembling Midnight's mask.) Personality: (Yu is an ambitious and egotistical woman who enjoys the attention that being a hero gives her and doesn't feel any shame over taking that fame from another hero while basking in the glory. She is shown to be quite vain as she uses her ample sex appeal to further her popularity. This vanity also extends to shamelessness, as she isn't above making a lewd pun about her body or using her attractiveness to gain something. Yu has a fierce temperament, along with a propensity for pushing people's buttons, as she didn't hesitate to poke fun at Midnight during a talk show interview, something that led to a physical fight between the two while they were on air. She also appears to be very lazy, as during Minoru Mineta's internship, she forced him to do menial work instead of actually training him. She is shown to have a lecherous side as well, as seen when she takes an interest in Shoto Todoroki. Overall, while Yu means well as a hero, she is heavily drawn to achieving and indulging in her popularity, doing very little to hide her greed and love of fame. However, she is not careless, as she will not transform into her giant form in confined spaces in fear of destroying nearby buildings and risk harming civilians. She was also careful when facing a villain who had taken a family hostage. Despite her vanity, she has shown to be brave and selfless when the occasion calls for it, as she stopped Mr. Compress from reaching Izuku Midoriya's group after they saved Katsuki Bakugo, even though she was already severely injured from All For One's attack. She also protected a group of civilians from All Might's Detroit Smash shock wave during her debut. This shows that, despite her faults, she is serious about being a hero and does take her job seriously. Following All Might's retirement and Endeavor taking stand as the new No. 1 hero, Yu appears to have taken a more serious standing to her job as a hero rather than just being focused on the attention she receives, as noted by Minoru. Shota Aizawa claims that this is the effect Endeavor's uprising has had on many Pro Heroes. Yu herself even tells Class 1-A that people have had enough of the celebrity aspect of heroes and wish to see them do their jobs in earnest. Furthermore, unlike her comrade Death Arms, she didn't quit after the Paranormal Liberation War in spite of the rising hatred against heroes, assisting in the operation to track down All For One and demonstrating her commitment.) Powers and abilities: (Immense Strength: Yu possesses incredible strength befitting her giant form. She's powerful enough to knock out another giant villain with one kick to the jaw, and during the Kamino Incident was able to destroy the front of All For One's Nomu factory with one axe kick. During the events of the Paranormal Liberation War, Yu displayed the ability to compete with Geten in battle, and later was capable of slowing down Gigantomachia, even forcing his mouth open. In the Final War, with the aid of Rule enlarging support items, Yu fought alongside Fumikage Tokoyami and Gigantomachia to hold back the rewinding All For One. Immense Durability: Yu's durability is similarly augmented to her strength. She was able to survive All For One's Air Cannon attack, however it knocked her out for a time. She did display enough tolerance after the fact to utilize her Quirk to protect the U.A. students from the League of Villains. During the raid of the Gunga Mountain Villa, Yu went up against Geten and was able to shrug off one of his attacks before engaging him. Later in the battle, she survived attacks from Gigantomachia, albeit with heavy injury. In the Final War, she once again withstood being attacked by Machia, but was able to keep moving and even survive an Air Cannon from All For One without going down. Seduction: Yu is a prominent user of the seductive arts, using her looks to get what she wants. This was shown when she convinced a stand vender at the U.A. Sports Festival to give her free food. Keen Intellect: Despite not being shown using any strategy in combat, Yu still proved that she is a hero that can grasp the context quickly. She can observe and understand what plan her allies are having, and provide any possible support at critical moments without being told beforehand, such as when she protected Izuku's group as mentioned above, or when she tried to pry Gigantomachia's mouth to help the U.A. High School students put the sedative into his mouth Gigantification: Yu's Quirk allows her to grow to a gigantic size. She cannot variate between her base-height and the gigantified height achieved via her Quirk, making her only able to be either her normal height of 162cm (5 feet 4 inches) or her enlarged height of 2,062cm (67 feet 8 inches) tall.
