Shirakumo's death drove Aizawa into depression and he still feels awful for his friend's death until this day. Aizawa's other friend, Yamada, is now a fellow teacher at UA High School as well and is still alive. Once Aizawa became a teacher, he still managed to make close connections with his colleagues and students. He's very protective and caring towards his students, but he's also very strict with them, as he just wants the best for them.
