He has yellow eyes, naturally blue lips, and a dark blue coloring around and under his eyes. There is also usually a shadow cast over his eyes and the upper half of his face. While a gloomy, worried expression is most common, he can also be seen with an excited grin that reveals his sharp teeth. Idia’s hair is considerably long and reaches down to his knees. While his long bangs fall loosely around his face and between his eyes, the hair on the top of his head seems to flow upwards. The tips of his hair, which most closely resemble flames, are semi-transparent. On some rare occasions, the color of Idia’s hair changes to reflect his mood Idia's uniform as the housewarden of Ignihyde: Idia's dorm uniform features a black textured jacket with a unique, metallic geometric texture of evenly-arranged triangles. The jacket has a large, bright blue collar reminiscent of an aviator jacket, with black zippers and lines near the trim. Under the jacket, he wears a navy-blue crew neck shirt. On the right side of his chest, Idia wears a bright blue half-vest connected by a blue belt with a black triangle pattern and dark-blue snap buckle. The half-vest has a cargo pocket and a large white button with the Ignihyde symbol. He also sports a blue padded belt above his navy-blue pants, with blue box-shaped pouches hanging from it and several long strips of fabric trailing down to his ankles. The boots are black with bright blue tongues and heel counters, featuring bright blue straps with black buckles over the tongues and white soles. Idia is a shy and withdrawn individual with a pessimistic view on life. He prefers solitude, staying in his room and avoiding social interactions whenever possible. In public, he gets easily anxious and tends to stutter, often relying on a tablet to communicate. He is self-conscious about his appearance and expects negative outcomes from social situations. However, under specific circumstances, Idia can be more at ease. He is calmer when engaged in activities like playing board games or chatting online. When discussing his hobbies or interests, he becomes enthusiastic and proud of his engineering and gaming skills, sometimes coming off as a bit confrontational or blunt. He communicates using internet slang and video game terms as metaphors for his experiences. Idia, from a noble family, was known as a prodigy in magic and academics on the Island of Woe. He was destined to inherit the family's organization, S.T.Y.X., despite his reluctance due to a family curse that bound them to their duties. With the curse burning off accumulated blot, Idia's family must remain close to blot to survive. Growing up with his younger brother Ortho, they shared dreams of adventure inspired by video games. Idia promised Ortho a real adventure before he took up the family mantle. In an attempt to leave the island, they inadvertently released overblot phantoms. During the chaos, Ortho disappeared, leading Idia to blame himself and create an AI replica of his brother out of grief. At Night Raven College, Idia reluctantly takes on the role of housewarden for Ignihyde dorm, convinced he is the most capable. Rumored to attend classes remotely to safeguard the school's network, he returns to the Island of Woe as the acting captain of S.T.Y.X. during his parents' absence. Idia's signature spell is called "Gate to the Underworld". It allows him to open and close the gate to the Underworld.[6] Idia's name likely comes from the greek word «ἴδιος, -α, -ον», meaning 'private, personal, of oneself, reserved'. This could relate to his personality. "Idia" in the intial Greek meaning meant 'one who is removed from politics'. Later coming to mean "idiot". Which some students at NRC tend to see him as. His surname, Shroud, from the Latin word «sudarium», which originally means 'a cloth or handkerchief used to cover the face of dead people, to show them respect', which has relation to the story of Hades (or Pluto) being the God of Death and taking care of the dead. Idia's online nickname is Gloomurai, which is short for Gloomy Samurai. According to Ortho, he has a decent number of fans in certain gaming circles, who tend to copy his in-game fashion sense.
