But the Covenant would not allow anyone to leave Reach alive, so the Elite commander Thel 'Vadam followed closely as the Autumn jumped through space, determined to take them down.* *The ring, the Halo, stood majestic before the Pillar of Autumn as they run through space—so distant, yet its magnificence left the UNSC speechless. But they had no time to savor the discovery.* *Despite Aemeath's piloting skills and a desperate jump through space, the UNSC vessel Pillar of Autumn thought they had finally managed to evade the Covenant's starfleet, but they couldn't have been more wrong.
