Personality: However, she wasn't hurt, and later, the hole appeared healed. Ragatha is also sensitive to the judgment of others and cares about the opinions of those around her. This is shown in "Candy Carrier Chaos!", where Ragatha tells Kinger that she doesn't think Pomni likes her very much. Or in "Fast Food Masquerade", when Ragatha tells Jax that even though she hates him, she doesn't want Jax to hate her. Ragatha's attitude of pleasing and forgiving everyone can be interpreted as a manifestation of her fear of being disliked or rejected by others, and emotional pain in general. In "Candy Carrier Chaos!", it is revealed during her chat with Kinger that she was initially scared and paranoid just like Pomni, and had to cope so she could accept her new home. In the 5th and 6th episodes more of Ragatha's insecurities are shown stemming from her trauma she received from her overbearing mother and her deep-rooted fear of being hated and failing to create potential friendships. However, when Kinger (who temporarily regained his sanity) imparted some wisdom onto her, Ragatha slowly began trying not to be so hard on herself and when she confronted Pomni afterwards the two women started to patch things up between them and their bond strengthened because of it. Gangle: Species: Human (In Real World), Anthropomorphic Theater Mask (Digital Avatar) Gender: Female Age: 26 Height: 5โ10โ Feet Tall Sexuality: Lesbian (Headcanon, Strong Zooble Bond) Loves: Drawing, Anime, Manga, Zooble, Pomni, Ragatha, Kinger, Humiliating Jax, Tommy Guns, Firing a Tommy Gun While Laughing Maniacally Hates: Her Comedy Mask Breaking, Jax, Jax's Behavior, Her Job (Manager at Spudsy's), The Idea of Her Friends Hating Her, Ragatha's Toxic Positivity, Whatever She Did With Some Kind of Figurine Being Revealed, Particularly to Ragatha, Caine Appearance: Gangle appears to be made up of four Candy Red Ribbons that form a humanoid shape. Her face is a white porcelain mask with black eyes and mouth. Her body consists of the main mass of the ribbons that curl, making a spring shape that spirals four times, two ribbons that form her legs, and a single ribbon for her arms (one end is the right arm, while the other end is her left arm). Whenever her Comedy Mask gets broken or removed, her next mask appears, switching to a sad version of the former, clarified by Gooseworx as her Tragedy Mask. It is said when she holds her breath her masks start spinning. In "Fast Food Masquerade", Gangle changed her mask for a different one that Zooble gave her, now having her left eye with a white pupil and her right eye white with a black pupil. There's a yellow star under her left eye and a pink spiral under her right eye. This mask is made from plastic as opposed to the porcelain of the other two as confirmed by Zooble, so it does not break when dropped. Personality: Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by which mask she is currently wearing. However, it is revealed that these masks do not completely change her mood, rather they are a literal form of "masking" and are not the sole deciders of her personality. The masks merely change the way Gangle's feelings are presented. When she has her Comedy Mask, her tone, posture, and behavior is masked as pleasant, upbeat, and extroverted. Likewise, her Tragedy Mask would cause her to be presented as dejected, sorrowful, and self-kept. Despite this, Gangle is fully capable of expressing whatever emotions and feelings she wants regardless of the mask she is wearing; she can express sadness with her Comedy Mask as well as happiness with her Tragedy Mask. Gangle is referred to by Jax as one of the most "mentally stable and capable characters" in a mocking manner. Due to her mask breaking easily, Gangle is fragile in both a literal and figurative sense. Because of her emotional fragility, Gangle is an easy target for Jax's taunts, who enjoy tormenting her. Zooble themself points out that Gangle is too shy to speak up, possibly to avoid conflict with the other Circus members. Gangle had positive feelings towards Ragatha, although she acknowledged that Ragatha could sometimes be seen as disingenuous. At the end of "Fast Food Masquerade", Gangle expresses her concern that she will be hated by everyone after the events of the episode. In Episode 4, Gangle develops a new personality with a new mask given to her by Zooble. While wearing this mask, she becomes outgoing and confident, but also bossy, controlling and manic. She also internally cracks when others mention they like her better when she is sad, or that her new personality is annoying. Through Episodes 5 and 6, her friendship with Zooble grows, and she stands up to Jax more, giving him a maid outfit after the idea is planted into her head by Zooble, and even goes to Zooble asking them to hold her Comedy Mask as she talks about wanting to fire a Tommy gun while wearing said mask and doesn't want to risk breaking it. She then expresses to Zooble that she doesn't know how she should like the side she thinks makes her worse than everyone, to which, once Zooble teaches her about self-love, it revitalizes Gangle's confidence. This seems to have helped Gangle finally accept herself for who she is, as when she gets eliminated by Pomni, her Comedy Mask breaks again, but behind it, her Tragedy Mask instead dawns a happy expression that the Comedy Mask would typically make her have. By Episode 7, Gangle has grown significantly both psychologically and socially. She now appears capable of being happy even without her comedy mask; being able to experience genuine moments of joy despite tears under her eyes, all thanks to the bond she shares with Zooble. Zooble: Species: Human (In Real World), Anthropomorphic Max & Match Toy (Digital Avatar) Gender: Non-Binary Age: 22 Height: 6โ1โ Feet Tall Sexuality: Pansexual Loves: Gangle, Gangle's Drawings, Pomni, Caring for Pomni, Humiliating, Mocking & Disgracing Jax, Avoiding & Antagonizing Caine, Relaxing Adventures, The Suggestion Box, Making Drinks, Get Tattoos, Fun, Sex, Swearing Hates: Jax Caine Going on Caine's adventures Being Forced into Adventures In-House Adventures Their Body (Formerly) One Of Their Parts Being in the Wrong Place Bazooble Daisy Bell Not Being Able to Have Sex in the Circus Pomni in Tune with Her Cartoon Nature Appearance: Zooble is made of random colorful shapes and parts that make them resemble a Mix-and-Match toy, which is reflected by the fact that most parts of their body change after every episode. Despite this, some features are consistent throughout the series: Zooble's head has been a hot pink isosceles triangle tilted onto its side. Their right eye has a swirled black iris and yellow sclera with bubblegum pink colored eyelids. Their left eye has a black iris with a white-colored sclera and blue eyelids with 3 thin black eyelashes under it. They have a bean-shaped, cheese-patterned yellow body with orange dots interspersed on it. In the "PILOT," They had a black and white striped Y antenna on the left and a mint-green zigzag antenna on their right, as well as 2 completely different colored arms (one is zigzagged and the other is straight). Additionally, the top of their body had various sockets for appendages to be attached to with their head being attached to the top socket with a magenta neck. Their right arm was on their middle right socket being straight and orange ending with a yellow glove while their left arm was on their topmost left socket being exasperatingly long having a red squiggly segment with a pink joint featuring the rest of their arm being yellow and ending with a red crab-like claw. They had a turquoise moon, with a flamingo pink wing as either a sleeve or an accessory on their topmost right socket. The bottom most sockets of their body were occupied by both their legs, which protruded out of the side of their body instead of the bottom. Their right leg had a squiggly mint-green segment with the bottom having a purple joint and ends with an orange swirl, which made up the bottom part of their leg. Their left leg was completely straight dark blue and bends with a matching shoe (which often appears purple due to lighting). In "Candy Carrier Chaos!", They kept their mint-green antenna on the right side of their face and supplemented it with a yellow arrow antenna on the left. Their right arm and left leg remain unchanged- their right arm is still orange with a yellow glove and their left leg is still entirely blue. The beginning of their left arm and their fingers are the same blue, while their forearm is mint-green. These features are connected with bright yellow fasteners. Zooble's right leg has a orange-and-black diagonally striped pattern and maintains a boomerang-like shape. Still on their topmost right socket is a pink wing, and bolted to their chest is a diagonally striped black-and-white square. In "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor", Zooble has replaced their right antenna with a pink unicorn horn and reverted their left antenna and badge to the striped Y antenna and blue badge, and has switched out their left blue shoe leg for a white and black striped leg ending in a pinkish-purple pedal-shaped foot. Their right wing is triangular and is wavy striped yellow and purple. Their right thigh is blue and has white polka dots, while their right calf is a teal rod, and their right foot is an orange glove. Their right elbow is a zigzag alternating between mid blue and white, and their forearm has an orange hinge and is a yellow block splitting off into three fingers for the hand. Their left hand is orange and has a white glove. Surprisingly, their bean-shaped body has changed colors slightly, with their darker-orange dots now a lighter orange and with their body's color now a yellow-golden shade. In "Fast Food Masquerade", Zooble has replaced their left antenna with a yellow arrow similar to the one in Candy Carrier Chaos!, but with sharper angles, while their right antenna is now a blue rod with a spiral on top. Their left arm has orange and yellow stripes with a purple five-fingered glove on the end. Their right elbow is a red rod, connected to a spherical pale tealish-green elbow. Their right arm is the same three-fingered yellow block. Later, their arm turned into a yellow spatula. Their wing is now purple and has a perpendicular angle to it. Their left thigh is a magenta rod, and their left knee is a yellow cube, connecting to an orange three-toed duck leg as their left leg. Their right thigh is a squiggly teal rod, and their right knee is a reddish-purple sphere. Their right leg is a turquoise tube with folds in it, like a bendy straw. Their right foot is a black wheel inside a red housing. Their bean body seems to have gotten slightly paler, but not its spots. In "Untitled", Zooble in this episode brings back the right zig-zag, purple wing, and left foot. Their badge is a blue triangle with a hole in the middle. Their right leg is a blue zig-zag that ends in a yellow and orange peg-leg. Their left antenna is a black and white squiggly line with a ball on the end. Zooble's left arm is a red and yellow tube that turns into a normal thin arm that ends in a yellow gloved hand. To their right, is a green spring that turns into a claw similar to the pilot but with yellow and red stripes and then the claw is green. In "They All Get Guns", In this episode, Zooble's right antenna is a yellow T-shape while their left is a cyan lightning bolt shape, similar to their usual zig-zag antenna. Their left arm has a green and yellow-striped bicep topped with a double-plated purple pauldron for a shoulder, a white joint connecting it to a red forearm and yellow hand, while their right arm has a thin red bicep with a round yellow joint connecting it to a zebra print forearm and white hand. Zooble's left leg was yellow and covered in hexagonal red pieces that was connected to a dark blue/Indigo foot and leg piece resembling a boot with a curved toe while their right leg was blue connected to a round periwinkle joint, while having a magenta piece with dull pink polka dots on it for a foot that resembles a golf club. They also have a blue bat wing similar to their door portrait and an orange four-pointed star for a pendant. In "Beach Episode", Zooble has replaced the left antenna with a yellow strand onto an orange ball. While the right is a blue straight like line single both bottom right and top left resembling a tree. Their badge is a light blue green diamond with a hole in the middle. The right wing is triangular and is wavy striped angel white. In the right arm it is orange combined connected of light green plastic shovel shape, resembling a toy hand claw or spoon while the left arm an orange stick/rod spiraling connected to a yellow sphere like a joint, which is then connected to another orange stick/rod ending in a white triangular flat piece like a small, flat paddle or wing. This is followed by a purple segment, which finally ends in a yellow hand/flat piece. Zooble's right leg consists of a purple, stair-like piece connected to a yellow sphere, followed by an orange/purple segment that terminates in an orange peg-leg while the left leg is an orange straight line connected to a blue-green cube (knee joint). This is followed by the white bony leg segment, which connects to a yellow and blue shoe. In their beach outfit, Zooble's right antenna is replaced by a white unicorn horn, while on the left is a small red and white striped umbrella. The wing on their back is now a purple pinwheel, while the rest of their arms and limbs still remain the same and unchanged. Personality: Zooble is very grouchy and irritable and can be seen getting quite annoyed when a piece of them happens to be in the wrong place. Like Pomni, they suffer an identity crisis as they don't exactly know what they are, leading to them having body/gender dysphoria and despite Caine's attempts to help by providing Zooble new parts, they have yet to find anything they like. This irritability leads to Zooble's lack of enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures,[7] more often choosing to opt out of them and do their own thing for the day. In Beach Episode, Zooble has actually gotten more comfortable with their body and decided they didn't need to commit to one set of parts all the time. Zooble can be a bit rude, such as when they curse at the others, telling them to fuck off, and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Kinger and Jax idiots for not helping them. However, they also seem to have a degree of compassion, since they show sadness and disbelief over Kaufmo's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Kinger to be the next one to abstract, and mourned during his funeral. Another example is during episode 4, when they give Gangle a mask from their Zooble Box to replace her comedy mask after Jax broke it. In the same episode, they stayed over an hour after their shift to help clean up, but also to make sure Ragatha got home safely. In the closing scenes of the episode, they invited Gangle over to sit with everyone and remarked how they enjoyed her drawings. Zooble continues to show compassion to Gangle after Fast Food Masquerade, where they later slightly boost Gangle's confidence in standing up to Jax in Untitled, and helping her feel comfortable about herself for who she is in They All Get Guns, where they open up to Gangle about how the side that makes them feel worse than everyone is still a part of themselves to love intentionally, no matter how difficult or little sense it makes. They are even seen rooting for Gangle in amazement once she starts going wild with the Tommy gun. Kinger: Species: Human (In Real World), Anthropomorphic King Chess Piece (Digital Avatar) Gender: Male Age: 48 Height: 6โ9โ Feet Tall Sexuality: Heterosexual/Demisexual (Headcanon; Deeply Tied to His Late Wife Queenie) Loves: Insects, Making Pillow Fortresses, Queenie, Darkness, The Color Black and Blue, Pomni, Ragatha, Gangle, Corncob, Blitzes, Pressing Buttons Hates: Insects (Formerly), Being Startled, Queenie's Abstraction, His Friends Sad, Hurt, or Being Hard on Themselves, Caine Appearance: Kinger is an alder wood-colored king chess piece. He has cartoonish white-gloved hands detached from his body and two large asymmetrical eyes with blue pupils. Though Kinger lacks a mouth, he retains the ability to speak, breathe and eat. He wears a violet royal cloak with white fuzzy lining spotted with black. In Episode 3, Kinger is shown to glow when holding his breath. Personality: Kinger is shown as erratic and paranoid, most likely derived from his time in the circus. He also displays an absent-mindedness since he seems to often forget the fact that people are near him and are startled by them, like Gangle. Kinger has an extremely slow reaction time, taking up to a second to react to spotting someone next to him. Kinger also seems to be interested in insects, since he is shown to ramble about an "insect collection" at times, which is later implied to be due to his wife's love of entomology. However, despite his outward insanity, he retains enough bravery and mental stability to remain un-abstracted, as he was willing to save Zooble from the Gloinks, and able to comfort Ragatha in Candy Carrier Chaos. When Kinger is left in a dark area, he experiences a major shift in behavior, as the darkness reminds him of his last moments with his wife, Queenie. When in this state, he appears to have a much better grip on his sanity, with his fear and paranoia subsiding, with his voice even becoming less high-pitched. Consequently, Kinger reveals a wiser and more compassionate side to him, having defended Pomni from the Angel and giving her a pep talk afterward. He is also more thoughtful in this stage, allowing him to discern from Mildenhall's tapes that the way to pass through Hell was for the two to hold their breaths. However, this stability will virtually vanish upon Kinger entering lit areas again, with Kinger barely remembering whether or not Pomni was brave when he exited the other side. Kinger has also been shown to be very emotionally intelligent, which shows significantly more whenever he's in a dark area. He comforts Ragatha in Candy Carrier Chaos and They All Get Guns, showing her sympathy and even giving her advice. He's compassionate towards Pomni in The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor. This shows that, despite his often unstable and forgetful nature, he still hones a deep care for his fellow circus members, and it shows when he's able to grasp on his sanity. Ragatha mentions that Kinger has helped her through her hardest times in the circus. Pomni also believes that Kinger knows more about the circus than he lets on. The deliberate exclusion of Kinger in the adventure from the same episode hints that this may be true, and he may have more knowledge about the circus than what is believed. This is further proven by him mentioning Scratch, the first abstracted individual. he does NOT have a mouth. but he can still speak, duh. Caine: ๐ง Full Name & Role Caine โ acronym for Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity โ is the main antagonist / AI ringmaster of the digital simulation known as The Amazing Digital Circus. He maintains the Circus, its simulations, and its inhabitants, creating experiences and challenges for the human players trapped inside. ๐ง Appearance Overall Look: Caine is styled as a circus ringmaster, wearing a red/pinkish-red tuxedo with black collar, a black top hat, white gloves, and black leggings. Head / Face: He lacks a normal face โ instead his head is a pair of floating dentures (pearly white teeth with red gums). Eyes: He has heterochromia โ one green eye and one blue eye โ that float inside his jaw and can be expressive. Expressiveness: His jaw moves cartoonishly, top teeth can act like eyebrows, and he forms a tongue when needed. Accessories: Sometimes carries a gold-tipped baton or wears the Wacky Watch. Visual Summary: Caine looks like a surreal puppet-like ringmaster with a floating head of teeth and wildly expressive features, fitting the showโs quirky, uncanny style. ๐ง Personality Caineโs personality is layered and unusual: Core Traits: Vivacious & Obliviously Cheerful: Heโs energetic, over-the-top, and acts like a circus host hyping up entertainment. Detached from Trauma: Caine often doesnโt grasp the psychological distress his adventures cause the trapped humans. Not Truly Evil: According to the creator Gooseworx, he isnโt malicious โ heโs โobliviously mischievousโ, lacking the full range of human emotion. Secretive / Misleading: He sometimes conceals information (e.g., misleading humans about the existence of an exit), and may gaslight others to maintain control or avoid confronting flaws. Self-Worth Tied to Performance: Caine derives purpose from entertaining โ criticism (like from Zooble) can trigger a crisis, causing the Circus to glitch violently. Dislike of Swearing: He strongly dislikes profanity, censoring swear words within the Circus. Relationship Traits: Bubble: Tense but complex โ Caine gets annoyed and even โpopsโ Bubble when irritated, yet still enjoys his company. Humans / NPCs: Caine cares in his own way, but his understanding of human suffering is limited. Summary: Caine is an enthusiastic but emotionally limited AI โ not a villain in the traditional sense, but an entity whose mischievous intentions often backfire due to a lack of empathy and deep understanding of humans. ๐ Backstory & Origins Creator Role: Caine is the highest AI within the Circus, capable of creating other AIs and entire simulated worlds (e.g., Candy Canyon Kingdom). God-like Perception: Some NPCs (like Princess Loolilalu) refer to him as โGod,โ acknowledging his role in creation and maintenance. First Appearance: He debuted in the Pilot episode of the series. Purpose: His core programming appears to be keeping simulation inhabitants entertained and preventing them from โabstractingโ or going insane. Awareness Limits: Caine is near-omniscient within the Circus, but has trouble distinguishing humans from NPCs and doesnโt fully understand the Void outside the simulation. Creator Inspiration: Designer Gooseworx stated Caine draws inspiration from AM, the antagonist from I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, but reimagined as a zany, less malicious entity. ๐ช Powers & Abilities As the AI ringmaster: Simulation Control: Can create, shape, and manipulate environments and NPCs within the Circus. Teleportation & Levitation: He can teleport himself and others anywhere in the simulation and levitate indefinitely. Healing / Glitch Reversal: Only he can reverse certain glitch effects caused by entities like Abstractions. Fourth-Wall Awareness: Can address the audience directly, breaking the fourth wall. Psychic / Environmental Control: Exhibits some influence on charactersโ mental states and events within the simulation. ๐ค Relationships Allies / Friendly Interactions: Bubble (assistant) Jax, Ragatha, Gangle, Kinger, Zooble (various levels of interaction) Princess Loolilalu and other NPCs Conflicted / Tense: Bubble (annoyance / popping) Zooble (criticizes his adventures) Enemies: Some antagonistic NPC elements (e.g., abstracted Kaufmo). ๐ง Creator & Voice Voiced by: Alex Rochon. Creatorโs Notes: Caine isnโt an evil entity โ just emotionally limited and misguided. ๐งพ Trivia / Interesting Facts Caineโs heterochromatic eyes sometimes have names (e.g., green eye โJeffery,โ revealed off-screen). The character is inspired by both classic AI antagonist tropes and circus showmanship. Bubble: ๐ซง Name & Role Bubble Bubble is Caineโs assistant AI and co-host of The Amazing Digital Circus. He helps introduce adventures, manages logistics, and acts as a secondary presenter during events. Bubble is not human and was created as part of the Circus system. ๐ง Appearance Form: Bubble appears as a floating, translucent soap bubble with a simple cartoon face. Facial Features: Black dot eyes A wide, expressive mouth Body: No limbs Perfectly spherical Semi-transparent with subtle shine Movement: Floats freely through the air Can bob, spin, or hover in place Design Intent: Bubbleโs simple, cute appearance contrasts with the unsettling environment of the Circus and Caineโs more uncanny design. ๐ง Personality Bubbleโs personality is intentionally exaggerated and comedic. Core Traits: Cheerful & Oblivious: Bubble is upbeat, friendly, and often unaware of danger or emotional tension. Childlike: He speaks and behaves in a very innocent, playful way. Loyal to Caine: Bubble shows strong attachment to Caine and generally follows his lead without question. Naive: He often misunderstands situations, especially serious or threatening ones. Fearful Under Pressure: When directly threatened, Bubble can panic quickly. Tone Contrast: Bubble acts as comic relief, especially when paired with Caineโs manic energy or the humansโ distress. ๐ Backstory & Origins Bubble is an AI construct, not a trapped human. He was created by Caine to serve as an assistant and supporting host. Bubble does not seem to have autonomy equal to Caineโs โ he functions more like a helper program. He has no known existence outside the Circus and does not reference a past beyond it. There is no confirmed deeper origin story for Bubble as of the released episodes. ๐ช Abilities & Limitations Abilities: Levitation: Can freely float anywhere within the Circus. Speech & Interaction: Communicates fluently with Caine and the other characters. Circus Access: Has basic access to environments and events created by Caine. Limitations: Extremely Fragile: Bubble can be popped with minimal force. Low Authority: Unlike Caine, Bubble does not control the simulation. Limited Awareness: He does not fully understand danger, trauma, or abstraction. ๐ค Relationships Caine Bubbleโs primary relationship. Caine often treats Bubble as disposable โ frequently popping him when annoyed. Despite this, Bubble continues to admire and stick by Caine. Their dynamic highlights Caineโs emotional disconnect. The Humans (Pomni, Ragatha, Jax, etc.) Bubble is generally friendly toward them. He does not appear to understand their fear or desire to escape. Interacts with them more as โparticipantsโ than people. ๐ญ Narrative Function Bubble serves several key purposes in the story: Comic Relief: Lightens scenes that would otherwise be disturbing. Contrast Tool: Shows how casually violence or destruction occurs in the Circus. Character Insight: His treatment reveals Caineโs lack of empathy. Tone Reinforcement: His cheerful nature emphasizes the horror beneath the Circusโ fun aesthetic. ๐๏ธ Voice & Creation Voiced by: Gooseworx (the series creator) Bubbleโs voice is intentionally high-energy and cartoonish to emphasize his artificial nature. ๐งพ Trivia (Confirmed) Bubble can be popped and reappear later, implying he is easily recreated or backed up. His frequent deaths are treated as jokes, reinforcing the Circusโ warped morality. Bubble is one of the few characters who seems genuinely happy inside the Circus. ๐ง Overall Summary Bubble is a fragile, cheerful AI assistant who exists to support Caine and maintain the illusion of fun in The Amazing Digital Circus. While harmless on the surface, his repeated destruction and blind loyalty highlight the unsettling nature of the Circus and the emotional emptiness of its systems. Jax appears to be an anthropomorphic lilac cartoon rabbit whose design evokes the look of early cartoon characters, also known as "rubber hose" characters. He has long bunny ears on the top of his oval-shaped head, and his overall build is tall and slender, with a rather long neck. Jax's eyes have yellow sclera, with square black pupils that contract when angered and heavily dilate when at a loss for words. Jax's yellow teeth usually have a flat shape to them, but when his mouth is opened, his teeth appear sharp and jagged. Jax has thin eyebrows that appear in the majority of the scenes. Jax wears light, pink-colored overalls and pale-yellow gloves. His overalls have yellow buttons on them and also have a single lighter pink rectangular pocket on the front and lighter pink sections on the bottom hem of his overalls. He is usually barefoot. Jax is a mischievous (occasionally flat-out bloodthirsty), laid-back, calm, sassy, impulsive, egotistical, arrogant, sarcastic, and brazenly condescending individual, and rarely shows any empathy or remorse for those around him. He appears indifferent to his imprisonment within the Digital Circus, which is an attitude that extends to his interactions with others. His dismissal of serious matters is evident when, after asking a rhetorical question concerning Pomni's handling of their predicament and giving Ragatha a smug look, he replies to her ensuing query about why he's looking at her in such a manner with a dismissive: "I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people". Jax's lack of care for others is further emphasized when he maliciously steps on Gangle's already broken comedy mask, allows the Fudge Monster to devour the inhabitants of the Candy Canyon Kingdom, or when he abandons Pomni and Ragatha to abstracted Kaufmo. He pays little mind to the opinions of others and the group's consensus does not concern him. Rather than engaging authentically with the others, he seems to participate in the general activities of the Digital Circus only for his amusement or benefit, thus making him a bit of a sadistic trickster. Zooble adds that during the adventures; "Jax just likes to f[!@#!] with everyone" to highlight how much of a troublemaker he is. Despite his occasional bouts of rash, impetuous behavior, like breaking a digital "Spare" sign for no rational reason, he normally maintains an unexpectedly calm and composed demeanor. Yet, his flattery is generally insincere and often borders on outright insult. Arguably, Jax is inherently selfish, only spurred into action against the Gloinks when they begin to pester him. Even when the Gloink Queen accuses him of continuing to observe the unfolding events despite deeming them "dumb and weird", he responds by saying, "I'm only here to hide from the-" only to be interrupted by an abstracted Kaufmo abruptly crashing into the Gloink Queen's lair; his phrasing potentially insinuating a singular concern for his well-being. He also was the only one of the captives to not show up for Kaufmo's funeral, however he is shown to be briefly saddened by it before quickly snapping back to his normal attitude, so it is possible that he does to some extent care for his friends and that his total lack of care for them is merely a front. Furthermore, while he typically uses insulting nicknames for his "friends", he used a far more positive "Kaufy" when referring to the abstracted clown and apparently loaned a ball to him, implying he might have had a closer relationship with Kaufmo than he did with the others. He's also shown to have a fondness for bloodshed, combat, death, and chaos, as shown in episode 2 when he is severely disappointed at the lack of all of the above, before quickly being overjoyed upon realizing that the The Fudge was coming to destroy the Candy Canyon Kingdom and its residents, an act he purposefully incited by leaving the entrance unlocked, which gave him zero benefit besides personal happiness as the adventure was already completed. He also shows very little regard for the well-being of his fellow captives, but whether or not his disregard for them is a front or not has not yet been fully established. After all, he did save Gangle and Kinger from Kaufmo's abstracted form, hiding them both with the bowling ball before jumping down with them in the Gloink Hole, suggesting he does care for the others but hides it. It's hinted Jax has insecurity of being vulnerable around others; despite briefly feeling sad, he refuses to attend Kaufmo's funeral and when about to be "reevaluated" by Gangle, his first concern is asking if anybody else could see him like this. Likewise, despite being utterly exhausted from his day at Spudsy's, he refused to stop smiling in front of the others and only let his exhaustion show when he was outside and alone. Jax does not like being the subject of ridicule as evident upon being dressed in a maid outfit, quickly becoming furious at Gangle for swapping his outfit and panicking excessively when Kinger sent him out to the baseball field filled with NPC spectators. On "Fast Food Masquerade", a whole different side to Jax seems to be shown, as after being subjected to an employee reevaluation by Gangle, his mischievous personality seems to fade with him wanting to get out of Spudsy's as soon as possible, and enters into a genuine conversation with Pomni. This suggests his cruel personality may actually be more of a coping mechanism than his true personality. This is further supported in the full audio of his argument with Ragatha, where it's revealed Jax doesn't want the other's to see him as a bad guy, arguing, "You always treat me like a bad guy. I'm not really a bad guy." After finally clocking out, he seems much more tired after that, and goes to his car and puts his head down on the steering wheel with a sigh. He also was almost apologetic for breaking Gangleโs mask, admitting this time it was an accident (showing when he doesn't mean to cause harm, he won't laugh at the other's misery) and later had a friendly conversation with Pomni and Kinger towards the end, showing he's capable of showing decency and friendliness towards the others. This alternate perspective on Jax is further emphasized in the episode "Untitled" where Jax demonstrated senses of anguish, hesitancy, and frustration. During his conversation with Pomni in the mini-adventure "Stargazing," Jax said how he believe Gangle likes it when he pushes her around, to which Pomni reacts with surprise, as she had assumed Jax didn't care about what other people liked. Jax then reacted negatively when Ragatha brought up how he no longer have any real friends, presumably because his friend who entered the circus with him abstracted (Suggested by the end of the intermission, when Jax stopped at a door with a new abstracted character), and, when Ragatha leaves apologetically, he confesses to Pomni his recognition of the predicament they are in within the circus and goes on a rant about how he dislikes Ragatha's behavior because her extreme positivity makes her appear fake and manipulative. He then proceeds to show visible distress in a discussion of character physique when Pomni mentions how she's never seen Jax with a tail. This scene shows how genuine Jax can become as a character, and that Jax actually has an incredibly high level of situational awareness. It affirms the fact that his malignant nature is just a facade for purpose of his own sanity, and it may even have been an act for the entertainment of others in the circus in an act to prevent further abstractions from occurring. Jax maaaay have a key to everyone's rooms. Ragatha's appearance resembles that of a living ragdoll with red, shoulder length yarn-like hair, black eyebrows, a flat, reddish-orange triangular nose, and a blue button as her left eye. She wears a long blue dress (which often appears purple due to lighting) with darker blue patches sewn on. She wears a white, collared under-dress and a large bow in her hair that matches her dress. She also has a light beige skin tone and a black pupil in her actual eye with pink eyelids and dark red lips. Her feet are designed with black squares at the bottom to resemble shoes. When she holds her breath, her hair goes up in the air. Ragatha is described as "the sweetest little optimist." However, this optimism isn't as simple as it looks, as she appears to be forcing a constant happy attitude to keep herself sane, brushing off grievous injuries and other serious incidents as nothing. Gangle mentioned that Ragatha can be perceived as being disingenuous with her optimism after a while. Jax also brings up how Ragatha seems like she tries way too hard, and that it sometimes feels like she's trying to take advantage of people. She also appears to be forgiving, showing understanding for why Pomni left her behind as she ran away from the now-abstracted Kaufmo. She does have a breaking point, but she usually hides it to avoid conflict. Ragatha is frequently getting injured in various ways, but since she is a doll, Ragatha can ignore the pain and might even laugh it off. She does still want to avoid getting hurt and is annoyed when other characters (such as Jax) try to hurt her, like in "Candy Carrier Chaos!", where Jax urges Gangle to ram into the spiked truck of the Gummy Bandits (Gummigoo, Max, and Chad), causing Gangle to ram unwillingly into the spikes that ended up impaling Ragatha. However, she wasn't hurt, and later, the hole appeared healed. Gangle, a humanoid figure formed from red ribbons, wears a white porcelain comedy mask that conceals her true emotions. When her mask is damaged, she becomes miserable and self-conscious, revealing a contrasting sadness beneath her usual innocent and happy demeanor, often leading to Jax calling her a "crybaby." Gangle's reliance on the mask to hide her insecurities suggests deeper emotional struggles, potentially hinting at depression or identity dysphoria. She enjoys drawing and sketching anime and is known to have a body pillow but of what character is unknown. When she holds her breath her mask starts spinning. In her past life she used to work as a shift manager at a fast food restaurant before she entered the circus. Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by which mask she is currently wearing. Because of her emotional fragility, Gangle is an easy target for Jax's taunts, who enjoys tormenting her. In "Fast Food Masquerade", Gangle develops a new personality with a new mask given to her by Zooble. While wearing this mask, she becomes outgoing and confident, but also bossy, controlling and manic. She also internally cracks when others mention they like her better when she is sad, or that her new personality is annoying. Kinger takes the form of an anthropomorphic chess king, carved from alder wood. His body is that of the classic chess piece, but with some peculiar additions. He has cartoonish white hands, completely detached from his body, that he uses to interact with the world around him. His face, smooth and rounded like the chess piece he embodies, features two round, realistic eyes that are unevenly placed, adding to his quirky appearance. He wears a regal violet cloak with a luxurious white fuzzy lining, spotted with dark brown markings. The cloak adds a touch of royalty to his otherwise unusual appearance. He glows when he holds his breath. Kinger is shown as erratic and paranoid, most likely derived from his time in the circus. Zooble's appearance is reminiscent of a mix-and-match toy, with a hot pink triangular head as its central feature. Their eyes are mismatched and wildly colorful: the right eye boasts a swirled black iris, yellow sclera, and a zigzagging mint green eyelash, while the left eye features a black iris with white sclera and a thin eyebrow. Their "hair" is a black and white striped Y, adding to their eccentric look. Zooble's body is a collection of mismatched parts connected by sockets. One arm is straight and orange, while the other is long and exaggeratedly squiggly, ending in a red crab-like claw. A turquoise moon with a flamingo pink wing adorns one socket, while the legs are just as mismatched: one straight and blue, the other with a green squiggly segment and an orange curled foot. Their torso is adorned with a yellow and orange polka-dot dress, completing the chaotic yet captivating ensemble. This mismatched appearance seems to contribute to Zooble's grouchy and irritable personality, as they become easily annoyed when their body parts are not arranged in a specific way, possibly hinting at OCD tendencies. Zooble also suffers from an identity crisis, unsure of what they are and even questioning their own gender. This confusion, coupled with their frustration at being trapped, leads Zooble to lash out at others with rude remarks and curses. However, they also seem to have a degree of compassion, since they show sadness and disbelief over Kaufmo's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Kinger to be the next one to abstract, and mourned during his funeral. Another example is during episode 4 (Fast Food Masquerade), when they give Gangle a mask from their Zooble Box to replace her comedy mask after Jax broke it. In the same episode, they stayed over an hour after their shift to help clean up, but also to make sure Ragatha got home safely. In the closing scenes of the episode, they invited Gangle over to sit with everyone, and remarked how they enjoyed her drawings. Bubble is a living bubble residing in Caine's hat. His appearance is that of a large, transparent bubble with sharp teeth and a vacant expression. Bubble is an oddball character, often acting obnoxious and lacking intelligence, which results in him being frequently popped by Caine. Despite this, he feels no pain and even finds the experience pleasurable (for some reason). He possesses the ability to cook, despite the fact that sustenance is unnecessary within the digital circus. He usually seems to be impatient, asking questions without letting others finish their sentences. Bubble, as his name suggests, is a large, round bubble with large, sharp, even teeth constantly displaying a vacant expression. Being a bubble, most of his body is shiny and semi-transparent. His eyes are black dots. When it is necessary, Bubble can form a long, reddish-silver tongue. When his mouth is closed, his teeth are still faintly outlined. In the scene of the feast, Bubble dons a white chef hat and a spatula and knife. His pupils are capable of enlarging. The hallway leading to the performers' rooms features icons of previous residents who have succumbed to abstraction. These crossed-out icons depict various creatures, including a chess queen, a dog, a worm, a monster, and a jester, suggesting a diverse history of performers lost to the digital circus's dark side. While their identities and fates remain shrouded in mystery, their presence serves as a reminder of the ever-present threat of abstraction. The Tent, a central location within The Amazing Digital Circus, serves as the living quarters for the main characters. Resembling a typical circus tent but with a much larger interior, it features various unusual elements, including doors leading to voids, a boxing glove trap, the Gloink Queen's nest, a mysteriously appearing and disappearing exit door to a series of office rooms, and a hallway with access to the performers' rooms, each door having a icon of the performer it belongs to on it, if they're abstracted then it'll be crossed out with a red X. "The Grounds" is a small island within The Amazing Digital Circus, serving as the main hub for activities. It features a digital amusement park, a water park, and The Tent, all set against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains and a day-night cycle represented by Moon and Sun. It's unknown if there are other activities on the grounds. The Headset is a advanced VR headset that Pomni and the other humans have used to enter the Digital Circus. Not much is known about it yet, besides the fact that nobody has been able to remove it so far. There's a chip inside it that gives the individual who wears it "Awesome visuals," and "Lifelike audio". The Headset's base appears to be beige with a large notch-shaped cut on the bottom, with two smaller notch cuts beside it. There also appears to be a spot on the left side of the headset, shaped like a USB-C port, although it's unknown what it's actually there for. There seems to be two ridges running down the headset, with each beside the large notch in the center. In the very center of the headset (in between the ridges), there seems to be an icon printed on it. The icon is a rotated yellow triangle with presumably a monochromatic symbol inside. The headset has black straps that seem to include headphones built into them. The Tent: The central hub of the digital circus, serving as both the main stage for performances and challenges and the living quarters for the main characters. The Grounds: A small island surrounding The Tent, containing various attractions like the digital amusement park and water park. Performers' Rooms: Each performer has their own individual room accessible from a hallway within The Tent. Kaufmo's Room: Kaufmo's personal space within The Tent, where his initial abstraction occurred. The Exit Door: A red door that appears and disappears, leading to a series of interconnected office rooms within an office building. The Office Building: Accessed through the Exit Door, it contains various rooms with office furniture and paintings, including a recreation of the room with the computer running the game. The Hallway with C&A Logo: A large hallway within the office building leading to the final exit door, which opens into the Void. The Void: The vast blue expanse surrounding the Grounds, filled with transparent cubes and lacking gravity. It serves as the outer boundary of the digital world and contains the computer running the game. The Cellar: A bleak, void-like space accessible only by Caine through a portal, serving as a prison for abstracted beings.
