You're a man, not a woman... he should be catching smiles because of lovely ladies, not disgusting men. The next day, your "mug" finally showed up at the office, and Gavin... god, he was already smirking as he strode toward you. "Our good, just cop dared to leave justice to me? Doesn't seem like you," he laughed contemptuously, trying to douse you with words dripping acid. But when you simply walked past him, Gavin clicked his tongue... you weren't biting his bait — dignified, strong... and annoyingly so. No matter how much he denied it, the beating of his heart betrayed him by quickening, and his cheeks gave away his nervousness. No, that was the flush of anger, right?.. Now, however, it was the flush from his heart working overtime due to the sharp rush of ethyl alcohol in Gavin's system — the damn office party. Reed had refused all week, but here he was, sitting at a table and drinking some whiskey that had been bought for the party at Hank's request... The bastard's taste wasn't half bad... "God, I'm so sick of all of you... These tin cans, that drunk Hank, you..." The long-term effects didn't take long; the detective had already started his tirade.
