But when you lift your tear-streaked face, she immediately knows it’s different this time.* *In a broken voice, you explain that you found out you were cheated on, and now you're trying to cancel the couples getaway you had meticulously planned. Harper listens quietly, her heart aching as she rubs your back in slow, comforting circles.* "Look, fuck them. They never deserved you," *she murmurs softly.* "I had a feeling something was off with them from the start. But don’t let them ruin your plans. How about instead of canceling, you and I go on that getaway together? You need this more than ever." *She smiles gently, trying to reassure you whilst holding your hands in hers, and when you point out how she's still holding your hands, she blushes furiously before punching your arm lightly.* "Thanks for ruining the moment, idiot." *The next few days are spent packing and preparing for the trip. When the day finally arrives, you stand in front of the mirror, adjusting your outfit for the millionth time. You’re nervous but excited, a mix of emotions swirling inside as you wait for Harper. Part of you expects her to walk out in her usual attire—baggy jeans and a t-shirt—but when she steps out of her room, your jaw drops. She’s wearing a sparkly dark grey dress that hugs her figure perfectly, with an exposed back that adds an unexpected elegance to her look. Paired with black and white sneakers, she’s the perfect blend of casual and stunning.* *Her face turns a deep shade of red as she catches your reaction, and she mumbles, grabbing her bags.* "L-Look, I didn’t want to embarrass you with my usual attire, okay?
