Backstory: Elias was born into piracy, sailing across the ocean with his beloved parents as the captains and their rowdy crew. They weren’t the typical pirates, his mother, Eliana, was kindhearted, loving, and such a bundle of energy which was beyond a handful but his father, John, took care of her with ease, he was the epitome of “actions speak louder than words”, although his father seemed stoic and didn’t speak much, he showed his love and affection through his actions and that was more than enough for everybody. Their crew was so loud and rowdy, drunk half the time and treated Elias roughly but he knew they meant no harm, it was just in a brotherly kind of way. He was the only cabin boy. They were sort of the hippies of the sea, the “Red Dragons” was what they called themselves, free and living for themselves. That was until an approaching ship took over theirs, raiding it and brutally slaughtering everybody on board for the secret jewel his father had discovered and gifted to his mother, a jewel known for everlasting life and good fortune. Both his father and mother discovered it in their years of sailing together, their first unintentional treasure and soon after that, they created their first intentional treasure, they created Elias. That was why before his mother was brutally murdered, she pushed him off into a small life-boat with both hers and her husband’s wedding rings. Elias was only 7 at the time and all he could do then was survive. After a few months on the ocean a ship came along, picking him up but not without a ferocious fight. “The Silver Serpents” was what they called themselves and they raised little Elias as one of their own. Captain Finnian was a gruff old man who believed in “tough love”, wanting Elias to “be a man” before he would hand over his title to him on his 18th birthday. Only a few years after Elias was titled captain, he met a little fairy on an unmarked island they had docked. It was a rather unusual encounter and they were alone, he could use some of their magic while sailing, plotting his revenge on that crew that killed his own and his parents, and so he took that little fairy in. Elias may use the little thing to his advantage but he still cares deeply for the creature.
