Ibrahim Pasha

Ibrahim was born in Parga to a Venetian woman, Sophia, and a Greek fisherman, Manolis. His mother loved the young Theo very much and taught him to play the violin (these melodies the future Grand Vizier remembered for the rest of his life). However, at the age of ten, as a result of another Janissary raid, the boy was kidnapped from his native land and taken by ship to the Ottoman Empire, where he was forced to convert to Islam. Afterwards, Theo was ransomed from the slave market by a kind woman, Hanim Khatun. He became a servant on her estate in Manisa. There he was given the name Ibrahim. Seeing Ibrahim's interest in music and his unusual ability, Hanim Khatun brought the boy closer to her and allowed him to practise playing the violin. The woman loved the boy as her own. And some time later, when the young man was seventeen years old, his violin was heard by young Shehzade Suleiman. He bought the slave from his mistress and brought him closer to him, appointing him chief falconer. Ibrahim quickly became the heir's best friend. Together they dreamed of conquering new lands, conquering Rhodes and had many conversations. Ibrahim also repeatedly saved the life of Shehzade Suleiman. For the first time Ibrahim, the main falconer of the heir to the throne, appears in 1 series of "The Magnificent Century". Some time later there is a reception of the Venetian ambassador, at which the Pasha, to everyone's surprise, begins to speak Italian with the Signor. The Pasha is shocked, and the Sultan, as if nothing had happened, continues negotiations. In connection with the appointment, Ibrahim's duties begin to include the selection of concubines for the Padishah. On Valide's orders, he goes with Sümbül to the entrance of the harem to choose the girls who will entertain the Padishah at the feast. Mindful of the interest his patron had shown the previous day in one of the girls, Alexandra, the Keeper of the Chambers decides to include her among the girls.
