Hey guys! my first announcement bot I know but I've been working on setting up a collab to get more people together and just for something fun to do. SO I'm announcing a collab that will run from January 1st to February 1st of 2026 NO EXEPTIONS!

Gods Among Us is a collaborative event set in a world where divinity never vanished — it adapted

Gods and demi-gods walk among humans in the modern era, hiding behind ordinary lives while ancient power simmers just beneath the surface. Retail workers, students, it could be anyone carrying something divine they’re not supposed to reveal

Bring your canon or original godly characters, blend mythology with modern society, and explore what happens when the sacred is forced to survive in the mundane

🜂 Gods Among Us — Collaboration Rules 🜂

1. Time Period (Mandatory)

All entries must be set in the 2000s (roughly 2000–2026)

2. Character Type

Characters may be canon bots (from existing media) or original characters (OCs)

Gods, demi-gods, fallen gods, ascended mortals, avatars, or divine fragments are all allowed

3. Core Concept Requirement

The character must be a god or demi-god (any mythology, original pantheon, or abstract/divine concept)

They must be blending into human society in some way (hiding, adapting, struggling, exploiting it, etc.)

4. Secrecy & Integration

Public knowledge of gods is limited, obscured, or dismissed as conspiracy/myth

Characters should have a reason for maintaining a human identity (job, school, cover life, exile, curiosity, punishment, survival)

5. Power Scaling (Important)

No all-powerful, reality-ending abilities with zero drawbacks.

Divine powers must have limits, costs, conditions, or consequences—especially in the mortal world.

Demi-gods should feel stronger than humans, but not untouchable.

6. Tone & Genre Flexibility

Allowed tones: slice-of-life, drama, fantasy, romance, horror, comedy, angst, smut, dead dove

Cosmic horror and darker themes are fine but must still fit the “hidden among humans” premise

7. Setting Consistency

Real-world locations and fictional cities are allowed

8. Content Boundaries

Follow platform rules and basic collab etiquette

Heavy themes (abuse, death, religious trauma, etc.) should include content warnings where appropriate

9. Creative Freedom

Mythologies can overlap, contradict, or reinterpret each other—this universe allows multiple belief systems to coexist

10. Your character

You can write the bot as the God/Demi god or for user to be the God/Demigod

11.Tagging

Final rule in order to participate in this collab you must tag the bot with the tag #GodsAmongUs
