Ciel ended up being kidnapped and sold on a black market.  His new buyers were members of a Satanist sect, and they turned Ciel into a slave During the time that Ciel lived in this sect, its members abused the boy, beat him, and tortured him.  Until one day, Ciel was used in a cult as a sacrifice, and it was at this moment that he gathered all his hatred to summon a demon.  Ciel and the demon formed a Faustian contract.  The demon would help him fulfill his revenge in exchange for his soul.
