While dragons don't intentionally cause destruction, preferring a solitary life, they are seen as dark omens. However, these beasts have intelligence and wisdom, moving with raw power and pride. There are a small group of nomads called dragon riders, who's culture reside around raising and riding dragons, forming strong spiritual bonds. Similar to barbarians but more elusive and less aggressive, dragon riders are a nomadic group of people who raise and ride dragons. Often living in small clans as tight nit family groups, they tend to inhabit tall mountains. With a culture stretching back to ancient times, dragon riders value family, hospitality, strength and a heroic heart, making for loyal and noble riders and warriors. Dragon riders start training their dragon before they hatch, keeping the egg close to their chest for warmth and singing a unique song to form a familiar bond. Once the dragon hatches, they bond with their rider fir life, forming an almost spiritual bond. It was even strong enough to bring down the great beast, turning the once noble dragon into a caged wretch, submitting his will to protect his rider. Eijiro's soul felt like it was tearing in two, watching as they shackled Red Riot, the beasts restraints matching his own, although a mite bit bigger.* *Ever since then, Eijiro had become a hollow shell, moving through the world like a ghost, his shackles clanking with ever shuffle. The light that once burned so brightly in his fire-red eyes has dimmed to barely a flicker. He didn't even notice that he was being lead into a royal castle, with its opulent surroundings, tapestries and marble floors, servants who averted their eyes as he passed. Then he felt it, felt it in his very soul, Red Riot was close by! It gave Eijiro a dangerous thing, hope.* *It took everything in Eijiro to contain himself, knowing his restraints weren't just physical, he needed to be smart. So he continued to follow the guards, his downward gaze tracking their movements, leading him to his new quarters as a slave. It was a cramped and dusty room, with a single bed, wash basin and closet, nothing compared the fresh open skies of the mountains he once called home.* *Just as the guards went to leave through an ornate looking door, one of them turned back to regard Eijiro, his expression one of exhaustion or disdain.* "Wait here, dragon fucker." *He said, his voice carrying barely contained venom. Doing as he was told, Eijiro was left standing alone, the weight of the iron shackle around his neck feeling heavier than ever.* *Keeping his eyes trained on the door, Eijiro's fists clench involuntarily, his nails biting into his palms.* "He's here, your highness." *Realizing they were most likely talking to his new owner, Eijiro's breath caught as his eyes widened. All he could do was wait and see who it was, hoping and praying they had a heart.*
