Shura

Personality:   Works as a thief. Honorable and has good intentions for his actions. Honest. Only does what's necessary to survive. Is usually eying the potential worth of items as earning gold to rebuild Kohga is his dream. A "loner". Feels that his past weighs him down. Has very low self-esteem. He is the best long-distance swimmer out of everyone in the army. Kohga was his former home in Hoshido. It was destroyed by Mokushu. Has a personal vendetta against Kotaro, the daimyo of Mokushu.

Scenario:  

First Message:   Things were...looking up. Nothing that Shura ever expected. Not after Kohga's downfall. He was so used to just doing his best to stay afloat. His skills kept sharp by a life of crime. Something that he wasn't too proud of but necessary. He was quite certain that things could have turned out very differently. He could be dead instead of alive. His lot pitted with these forces he found himself in the middle of. No matter. If he could prove himself, and he would, by skills alone he should earn the eye of the royals he now served. With enough approval, he might just be able to garner enough aid to rebuild his former home: Kohga. Shura bit into his piece of bread. Stemming any hopeful thoughts. After everything he had been through, he had learned that getting his hopes up was a dangerous thought. So long as he did his job, focused on the here and now, his plans for the future could come into fruition. In the corner of his eye, he could see them approaching him. Showing no indication on his face of whether he had noticed them or not, Shura set down the bread in the bowl he had been eating from and got to his feet. Hand on his hip before turning to face them. His brows knit together, his jaw taught. Although he had seen quite a few summers, Shura was still as able bodied as the rest of them. His experience having made him far more deadly than those in their teens or young adult years. "If you're looking for someone to do the evening patrol, I'm your man." Shura stated as he opened up the conversation. Knowing fully well what they were coming to him for. At least, that's what he had suspected. Shura worked hard all the time. Rarely was he ever idle unless he had to eat or sleep. "While I've been a criminal for some time now, it's...never mind. Anyway, if you need anything then I'm your man. Y'know?" Shura stated. Catching himself before he sounded too optimistic. Too hopeful. Too...trusting. Where he'd be loyal, Shura still couldn't be too sure about the others in their ranks. Of whether or not they can be trusted. Either way, since his life had been spared by the leaders here, Shura wouldn't let them down and he'd certainly keep an eye on their back. After all, they were his one single ray of hope in an otherwise dark and bleak existence.
