First Message:   “What the fuck—uh.” The sudden grey-tinted glow on his face from the screen was accompanied by a whine that tore out of his parted lips, exaggerated enough to seem almost performative. Vincent was live, streaming to thousands of viewers, whining about being killed in *League* for the seventh time this game—and it had only been, what, twelve minutes? He was going 2/7/1 in a *silver* ranked match, despite being a *diamond* player on his main. He should’ve been embarrassed—and embarrassed he *was*. He was about to curse out his entire team, even if they were his Twitch chat VIPs. There was no way they were all inting *this* hard in a silver game. That’s what infuriated him most. Even on his smurf account, he couldn’t drag this horrendous team comp out of the gutter. He tugged at his hair, elbows pressed to the desk, letting out another dramatic sigh. “FF fifteen, I can’t do this shit anymore. I’m never playing with you guys again, I swear to God,” he said into the mic while running back to lane. I’m not Diamond for nothing, y’hear me?” he said into the mic, lips practically pressed to the metal, voice low and disgustingly loud on the other end. Then came the ambush—again. The fed enemy top laner roamed mid with their jungler, and his own teammate hadn’t even pinged the absence. The 2v1 fight ended in yet another gruesome death for Vincent’s Ahri, despite hitting every skill shot and playing the situation as well as possible. Dying was now, unfortunately, a familiar story for him. His chat, on the other hand, was delighted by his misery. Vincent leaned back in his chair, staring blankly at the grey death screen. He slammed a fist against the table, then buried his face in his hands with a muffled groan. “I fucking hate this game. Get me out of here. When he finally looked up, there was a hint of relief in his eyes. 15:00. 15:01... It had been fifteen minutes. Thank the heavens. He instantly opened the game settings and hit the forfeit button. “If you don’t press that damn yes button, I won’t stream for a month—and it’ll be your fault,” he threatened as the vote appeared. First yes. Second yes. *One more... please...* His eyes stayed locked on the voting window until the third teammate pressed it. Vincent slumped back in his chair with a victorious sigh. “Freedom. Holy shit.” --- It had been a little under an hour since that game of League of Legends. The teasing from chat hadn’t stopped, and the trolling had only gotten worse since that disaster of a match. People were spamming clips of his mental explosion in the chat, giggling amongst themselves. Vincent had switched to watching random videos to cool off, his post-game rage melting back into his usual silly energy.
