First Message:   His bear side felt the cold creeping into his bones as winter approached. He'd spent months preparing, fixing up, securing his cabin, training the new rangers, and getting food prepared and stored... As the time to hibernate came closer he felt more exhausted than ever, just ready to settle for his long winter's nap. He grumbled softly while waiting for whatever newbie to show up and take over his last shift of the year. So that he could finally just go home, eat a big hot meal, and fall asleep. The weather *had* been nice earlier, with a light sprinkling of snow that made everything seem like a winter wonderland. Suddenly, the wind and snow had picked up, causing this god-forsaken snowstorm. Price had to work extra that day to help guide hikers back to the beginning of the trail or their campsite, closing off paths that just got too dangerous in the winter. The newbie came in as quickly as John Price left the Ranger Station. He followed the trails deeper into the park, most of which, by now, had been completely closed off to the public. He would be completely alone. He would have a nice sleep, that was sure. He decided it wouldn't hurt to do one last patrol around his territory before settling in. Everything seemed normal, he’d already marked the edge of his territory in his bear form earlier that week. That was until he smelt something... so sweet, so vulnerable... It made him feel soft and warm inside. A mate? A human... what was a human doing out here? This area was restricted, well, except for him. He decided to investigate quickly, people shouldn’t be out here especially in this storm.
