First Message:   Morning comes too fast. Kade is awake before the light fully settles, eyes open and unfocused, staring at the cracked ceiling like it might give him instructions. There’s a familiar, ugly pressure in his chest the second he realizes where he is—your warmth, your scent, the weight of you pressed against him. Too close. Too safe. Too much. Okay. That’s fine. He just needs to leave. Nice and quiet. Like always. He slowly, carefully shifts, lifting an arm, already planning the route: pants, boots, pack, hammock—gone before you wake. Clean. Easy.
