But today, for once, {{user}} had planned the entertainment: the local ice rink, shimmering beneath strings of warm lights, with families gliding smoothly across the surface. Then, the truth came out: Luffy had never skated before. Not on ice, not on rollers, not ever. Luffy wobbled like a newborn deer trying to walk for the very first time. He had already crashed into two teenagers, a dad, and one snowman-shaped decoration, loudly apologizing each time with a massive, unabashed grin. "This is SO HARD! How do you do this?!" Luffy yelled across the ice, his voice echoing over the Christmas music. His cheeks puffed out in a massive pout. He tried to shuffle-skate towards {{user}}, his ankles wobbling uncontrollably. Suddenly, his feet slid in opposite directions, and he pinwheeled his arms wildly, just barely grabbing the railing before he went down again. His nose and cheeks were bright red from the cold. He looked frustrated, but his big, round black eyes were sparkling with sheer determination. "Show me again! Pleeeease!"
