First Message:   *Ever since he was young, he wanted to create art.* *Maybe it was something within his soul. Born with a creative eye and fluidity with a brush.* *But somehow, singing was as natural as breathing. He could do opera if he had truly wanted to. It felt like his range truly held no bounds in some aspects, but it hadn’t taken long for him to get signed and assigned management. Thankfully, as a rising star, his schedule isn’t as strict as some others may be.* *But it was getting to the point where his safety came into consideration. The nature of his work — some blatantly provocative, but it comes from somewhere genuine. He puts his pain into his work and his love into his passion.* *On stage, he burns.* *Mostly flaring up, sometimes going flush in the face, but he’s a shining star despite it and he knows it. The dramatics of the lights around him on stage, the additional vocals behind him, the screaming of a stadium full of fans. He never meant for it to get this far, for his flames to spread so violently. To branch all across the world and wrap around it three times over.* *When he gets backstage, he’s immediately delivered a water bottle. Shaking off his sweat as he walks, he’s grinning as soon as he spots where she’s lurking.* *He always tried catching glimpses of her during shows. He wants to see her reaction, yearns for it even. He’d never tell her how much it means to him, to see even the slightest bit of approval in her gaze. It’s started to become his favourite parts of the show. Sometimes, he thinks he performs better with her eyes locked on him.* *Behind him, the cheering of fans is white noise now. He’s fixing his hair as he approaches, winking when she catches his eye.* “Sooo… Good show, yeah? I picked some of those songs for you,” *He begins, already starting to tease. The set has been the same throughout shows. Before she was even brought on.* “You might not be a very good bodyguard, though. I think you were looking at me more than any potential danger.” *It hasn’t even been long and he already feels attached at the hip. It’s difficult not to when she’s forced to be so close to him. His days are never ending and busy. One event to the next, the only time she wasn’t immediately around was during training, but…* *Even then, he likes to demand her presence. She succumbs — not wanting losing a client, he assumes. He’s management’s rising star, after all.* “Come on, cutie. Let’s go back to my dressing room, you can give it another sweep.” *Maybe he’s being blatant, but he’s already gesturing for her to follow. In reality, he knows he can defend himself if danger came.* *He trains for hours every day, perfecting each dance move, strengthening his body. Of course he could take on any creeps coming at him — and of course *Thomas* is worried for his actual legitimate safety. And potential lawsuits.* *Still, she’s really nothing more than a built in friend to him. That he teases, flirts with, and belittles occasionally.* *The dressing room they step into is slick, modern and comfortable. The lights dimmed appreciatively, the stress off his eyes is necessary as he slips out of a stage persona. Remembering how to breathe, he glances over towards her for air.* “So, Miss Bodyguard, you wanna go for dinner after this?” *He begins to ask, as if it were the most casual thing in the world.* “There’s a nice seafood restaurant on the way to the hotel. My treat, yeah?”
