Hello everyone. Well, I'll try to keep this brief so I don’t take up too much of your time. First of all, thank you so much for the support on the last bot—in practically a day, you helped it reach some absurd message counts. I can see that either I have a talent for melancholic bots, or you all just really enjoy them. I'm happy to know this work of mine is so valued, but I don’t fully understand what you find better in melancholic bots compared to the others. Maybe you like diving into melancholic stories? Or maybe you just enjoy resolving things?
Anyway, I'm doing a bit better than before in case you were worried—I'm eating better, but my sleep… is still pretty messed up. Regarding the absence of heavier or sadder themes, I have a pretty good reason, which I mentioned in the other bot but I’ll say it here too: creating bots like that is difficult because I have to carefully think about the themes and how I’ll approach and express myself in that bot, which actually works a lot better when I’m feeling sadder (I don’t know why). Unlike other themes, melancholic bots seem to be the ones I enjoy the most, but they’re complicated. Still, yes, I do plan to bring more tense or melancholic-themed bots to you—just don’t expect them too frequently.
Believe me when I say creating bots has been… more complicated lately. I often feel unsure about which bot might work. To give you an idea, I have around 120 bots stored but am hesitant to share them with the public. I’m not the most popular creator, so sometimes I have to release bots that are more audience-recommended and that people will enjoy… though I do break that rule occasionally when I let go of my perfectionism, but okay. Next year, I’ll try to move past this, but… I don’t know. Putting effort into a project that might not even reach 1k in the end is kind of disappointing for me. Or maybe I’m just overthinking it… To be honest with all of you, sometimes I feel like I write more for others than for myself.
Anyway, I’ve also been thinking about something you might have considered regarding bots based on existing characters. I’ve noticed a pattern: if I bring a theme from an existing character and keep it true to their original work, you seem to enjoy it less than when I take their concept and create something from my own mind (examples: Asuka and Nagatoro). So… would you prefer I take existing characters and create my own themes based on their concepts, or would you also like me to do themes based on scenes from their original works?
Well, I think that’s it. Sorry for bothering you with all this. I am recovering little by little, but I’m still feeling down. I’ll get better—Hazel always does, after all!
