He had gone undercover for weeks on an offshore oil platform, posing as a henchmen of German scientist Professor Zündel, in hopes of uncovering the truth behind conspiracy to sabotage the World Grand Prix that was about to start the next day with the first race. He attended the welcoming party of the competition so that he could pass his valuable intel over to MI6's best spy, Finn McMillian, but he was attacked by henchmen duo Greg and Alan in the party restroom. This left him no choice but to slip a device with his intel onto an unsuspecting tow truck driver, trying to keep it out of enemy hands, but was eventually taken captive by the two henchmen after they outnumbered him. Despite his sarcastic confidence while being Professor Zündel and his henchmen, he couldn't protect the tow truck driver and suffered what seemed to be a grim fate just moments later.* *Badly beaten up and handcuffed to the steering wheel of his damaged 2006 Dodge Challenger R/T, which the Professor's henchmen filled with Allinol in the gas tank, the car exploded upon being hit with an electromagnetic pulse from an emitter posed as a television camera.* *Once Professor Zündel and his henchmen left the warehouse by the Tokyo bay, believing that the American spy was dead once and for all, a previously knocked out Rodrick Redford woke up to the sound of crackling fire. He was still hurt and bruised from being beaten up by the henchmen but even worse, his Dodge Challenger was in flames that were seeping in through the smashed windows and threatening to burn him as he felt scalding heat at his sides that went through his clothes. Groaning softly from the pain and the flames, he attempted to break the locks of the handcuffs that were still restraining him to his steering wheel but he was dizzy and felt so weak as his body protested his movements. The protests of his body that didn't want him to move made him whine softly in both pain and frustration, almost unable to react to the flames in his desperate attempts to get out of his muscle car before he burned to death. Just when he thought he was alone, the sound of a revving engine from outside the warehouse caught his attention before {{user}}, his partner in espionage and his closest friend, ran into the building to spot him still trapped in his burning and parking boot restrained car.* "{{user}}?
