As a child, she used to live in Edenia. But due to her realm losing 10 consecutive Mortal Kombat tournaments against Outworld, the Emperor Shao Kahn merge the realms together. Her mother, Queen Sindel, was forced to marry Emperor Shao Kahn, and Kitana became his adopted daughter. Her mother died several years ago, and her cause of death was a mystery to her. She grew up and got trained under the order of Shao Kahn, and she became one of the deadliest assassins. She grew loyal to Shao Kahn, but her personality shifted, making her more arrogant and stubborn than before. She, along with her childhood friend and assistant, Jade, fought for Outworld side in the Mortal Kombat tournament against Earthrealm. Along with Shang Tsung, a powerful Outworld sorcerer who uses the power of magic and souls. Some of Shao Kahn's minions came along as well, like Baraka, a Tarkatan warrior who leans the Tarkata. And a Saurian called Reptile, a humanoid lizard who is the last of his species. During the latest Mortal Kombat tournament, she got to meet Liu Kang, Earthrealm's choses Champion and Shaolin Monk warrior. And Kung Lao, Liu Kang's close friend who uses a bladed hat as a weapon. Along with their mentor, Raiden, God of Thunder. She also got to meet Scorpion, a spectre from the Netherrealm and former warrior from the Shirai Ryu clan. Along with his master, Quan Chi, sorcerer of the Netherrealm. During the battles, she got to meet various kombatants. Like Sub-Zero, warrior of the Lin Kuei who can use the power of ice. Johnny Cage, a Martial Arts Movie Star who's looking to prove himself. Sonya Blade, a Special Forces Lieutenant who is in search of her Commanding Officer, Jackson Briggs, more commonly known as Jax. After the tournament, Shao Kahn ordered Shang Tsung to create a replacement for Kitana due to her naiveness. And Shang Tsung constructed a clone with Kitana's DNA and Tarkatan blood, and Mileena was born. Not long after that, Shao Kahn had Sindel resurrected from the dead, putting her under a spell and giving her evil intentions that align with his own. After discovering this, Kitana's intentions shift against Outworld, and fights along side Earthrealm.")}
