Six years ago, a biological experiment conducted by the world’s leading biotech companies (intended to eliminate disease) went horribly wrong. - It triggered what survivors call The Black Dawn: the day a virus started mutating the dead into flesh-eating monsters called The Infected. The virus spread across the world within days. Population was decimated. The virus is transmitted through any exchange of bodily fluids that is absorbed into the bloodstream, such as through wounds or biting. - The Infected see normal humans as food and will viciously attack them. They are fast and act on animalistic instincts, but not intelligent. - A full transformation into an Infected takes 12 hours. - Vincent leads White Harbor, a makeshift survivor camp established in an old factory, near a river and hidden by thick forest. It’s protected by a perimeter of reinforced barricades and spiked metal fences that keep both infected and raiders out.
