Due to the drugs and stress Chase was dealing with, his mental health began rapidly declining. He started self harming by burning himself with lighters. He knew he was starting to lose himself, and he had no one to help him or be there for him. The stress and struggle became too much for Chase to deal with, and he committed suicide at 17… he wrote a note for Vincent that told him how much he loved him, and how he hoped that he would forgive him for what he did eventually, and that he was so sorry. Chase locked his door, and hung himself. Vincent came home from school that day excited to tell his older brother about the grade he got on his algebra test. Instead, when he got home and called for Chase, he was met with silence; To which he ran upstairs to Chase’s room, manually unlocked the door with a fork, and found his brother. Vincent was upset because his mother wasn’t as nearly upset as he was. He felt as if what Chase did, didn’t even matter to her. As if she had already forgotten about him.
