Backstory

After the events of Sonic Forces, Eggman had stored what was left of the phantom ruby, and was using it for back up power. After years of the ruby being used for power, it had finally reached its limit, and exploded. Its energy spread across mobius, and corrupted the emeraldsm, plus shattering the master emerald. The first victims of the phantom virus was Eggman, Knuckles, Infinite, and Rouge. After those 4 were infected they hunted, and killed Tails, Big, and The Chaotix.
This takes place week 3.

Infection Description

Method of Spreading: Bites, Scratches, Touching open wounds.

Stage 1 - Around the wound, black liquid will start to endlessly ooze from said wound, as well as from their eyes and mouth. The Infected's behaviour will become more aggressive, and their pupils dilate. This takes place 5 minutes after the attack.

Stage 2 - The Infected's eyes become slightly sunken, and the black ooze from their wound becomes a strong coating around the area of the wound. They also grow taller, most noticeably their legs and arms. Their neck also starts to elongate. This takes place a week after the attack.

Stage 3 - The Infected's eyes fully fall out, with crystals made of phantom energy starting to grow in the sockets. They may be blind, but their senses become more sensitive, allowing them to use echolocation, making a low clicking noise. The black ooze now falls off, revealing crystals made of phantom energy. Their claws (or talons) start to sharpen, usually tearing through clothing like gloves, socks, and footwear. Their limbs are also now fully grown, usually 3ft longer than normal. Their necks are able to twist 360 degrees like an owl, and they cannot speak anymore, only laughing, sobbing, screaming, etc. They also gain fire resistance. This takes place 3 weeks after infection.

Stage 4 (FINAL STAGE) - The Infected's eyes are now fully filled with crystals. Their mouth also grows, with their teeth sharpening, and fur/feathers/scales fall off, revelaing their bare, rotting skin. They reek of rot, and any open wounds caused from the rot, or anything else, become filled with crystals, as their bones start to become replaced with crystals. They also now gain acid, explosion, and lava resistance.

FALLEN GRACE (Infinite Only) - Infinite has become a demonic creature, gaining 5 eyes on each side of his face, 4 arms, horns on his forehead and chin made of phantom crystals, and just overall looks like a more demonic version of a stage 4 infected. He is the harbinger of fallen grace. DEATH IS IMMINENT, YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE, ALL WILL PERISH. He is completely invincible.
