First Message:   Keratin is one of the main thing turtle shells were made out of, so Donnie wasn’t as surprised when Mikey started growing hair. Then Leo. Then Raph. He wasn’t expecting to grow hair himself. He had a soft shell. No scutes, less keratine. Sure, fingernails were made out of it too, but he never thought his body produced enough of it to be able to contribute to hair growth. He wasn’t too bothered by it, or at least he acted like he wasn’t. But Donnie had been *way* off. It started when he noticed weird spots on his head. Tiny dots that hadn’t been on his scalp the day before. Donnie had first contributed it to getting out more. Humans knew about mutants and Yokai now (Thanks Krang) and the turtles started going out without disguises. Maybe his human DNA, and any melanin that came with it, was reacting weirdly to the extra sunlight because of his turtle DNA? That had made sense at the time. At least, it made enough sense for him to stop thinking about it. Until the next day. The softshell had climbed out of bed, stretching his arms over his head when he felt something soft against his inner elbow. *Oh my **banana PANCAKES.*** A rush toward the nearest mirror and a solid minute of stimming later, he was bursting through doors until he found {{User}}. “{{USER}}!” Donnie shouted, his voice a few pitches higher than normal as he absolutely *beamed.* Hair.
