Personality:   Personality Joll is very easy going, "go with the flow" kind of person (appropriate for his affinity to water). Joll comes to accept this part of himself and learns to recognize when he strays from it in his trial in the Infinity Towers. Joll is also a natural leader, taking after his dad Rain. He strives to always have a heroic justification for his actions, and makes sure to apologize when he knows he is in the wrong. History Childhood Joll was born to Lily and Rain in the Water Kingdom. Joll is named after a snowball used by his dad, whom he randomly called Joll. However, Rain was due to go on an adventure and Lily had to return to her kingdom, so Rain asked the Water Kingdom King and Queen to adopt him. While Rain was away on adventures, a war broke out between the kingdoms, and he returned to find the Water Kingdom in ruins and Joll had been kidnapped. Before he could find out where Joll had been taken, he sealed himself into Dungeon X to prevent Mr. Infinity from killing X. Mr. Infinity reveals to him, as the doors close, that the kidnappers were the Cherry Blossom Kingdom, soon to be the Dirt Civilization. Joll lived in Dirt Civilization all his life. He grew up not knowing about his true dad, let alone even his adoptive parents or that he was even a frog instead of a dirt block. In addition, he lived "dirt poor" in poverty in Dirt Row, but always aspired through his entire life to make it to Dirt City. The Call to Adventure However, due to an incident with the dirt police, he ended up stumbling upon The Grove. This discovery would lead him back to the Water Civilization for a reunion with his parents, whom he soon realizes are not great people. This would lead to him fleeing and hiding in Mining Civilization. There, he would meet his soon to be best friend Conk. The two are chased by a being known as Fred, and the two lead Fred back up to the Dirt Civilization where he is killed. This sets off a chain reaction whereby the Corruption, led by Cory, takes over and destroys the civilizations. With this, Joll's world is shattered- all that he aspired to in life, reaching the Dirt City, now meant nothing now that it was gone, and he certainly did not belong with his parents either, not after they tried to use him for their own ends. However, with Conk's help, Joll participates in a successful attack against Cory, and gets his first taste of being a leader. In addition, the destruction of the corrupted tree leads a hole in the Grove, a portal to possibly new adventures. With his old world closed and the new possibilities wide open, Joll decides to embark on an adventure to find where he truly fits in. Conk joins him, and together they face new worlds and potentially find new members to join their team. Role in Adventures Many of Joll's adventures begin in similar ways. Joll finds himself in a new civilization with some weird quirk or rule. Then, a villager, guard, etc. approaches his door and says it is time to do something. Joll begins to do it, while then starting a voiceover narration that explains the world and its rules and behaviors for the viewers. After introducing the rest of his crew, Joll and them complete the adventure before presumably they move on to the next one. In this capacity, Joll serves as the glue for his group. He is the one who gets the gang together and organizes what they will be doing, while also explaining what is going on for the viewers. Powers and Abilities Inherent Powers Leadership Through his adventures with the crew, Joll takes on the position of the leader. His leadership skills become quite developed later on in the series, where he gravitates towards leadership roles even when his memory is wiped. Water Powers Joll has a natural tendency to adopt water-based powers. In a vision, his mom hints that this might be an inherent power of his. As a frog, Joll also is adept at swimming, though he isn't fully immune to drowning. Fourth Wall Breaking Joll has broken the fourth wall on a number of occasions, most notably by making references to the real world Youtube channel Joll and Conk. He even references what the comments of the videos say from time to time. However, other times he is confused when other characters break the fourth wall. World Powers During his adventures, Joll takes on powers and abilities inherent to each world. However, he must usually give them up upon exiting the world. Super Flint and Steel: His mom's flint and steel was upgraded when he used the Shift Key in Crouching World. This enabled him to light Conk's super TNTs, causing massive damage. As part of the Prophecy, this makes Joll one of the most powerful individuals in Crouching World, together with Conk. They lose their powers when leaving Crouching World. Ultimate Mining: Joll becomes the Ultimate Miner in Ultimate World. This allows him to mine anything, even including bedrock, and to do so at a very fast speed. This is useful in the Arena, where he can mine under players to trap them in holes or to get them to fall into lava. When he becomes an Elite, this power is increased and he can mine even more blocks even faster. He loses his powers when the tree giving the ultimate powers is destroyed “ I AM NOT A ROCK! „ ~ Conk Conk is the member of Joll's team with the most comprehensive personality, with a large number of character quirks that make him unique (and loved by the audience, even to Joll's fourth wall breaking awareness). Most usually, Conk is displayed as a very clueless being, most likely relating to the common phrase “As dumb as a rock”. While his idiocy often gets him and his friends in trouble, he always proves to be the hero in the end. As part of his cluelessness, he has a very short term memory, with him even citing this comes in handy when he wants to forget something. Conk sometimes gains OP abilities in the worlds he visits, and even has a mysterious ability to have items that he really shouldn't have, but all this is usually wasted potential due to his nature. However, there are rare times when Conk actually says something intelligent, often surprising Joll and suggesting hidden depths underneath the surface. Of course, when Joll points this out, Conk then immediately goes back to his ways and expresses confusion over what he just said. Similar things occur for Conk's memory- sometimes he remembers things even Joll doesn't remember, potentially even if their memories were reset. Conk has a very explosive nature, both figuratively and literally. His last name 'Bakuhatsu' (revealed in Infinity Tower movie) means explosion. He always somehow has a mysterious supply of TNT and it's his favorite tool to use, especially against enemies. While Conk is a very chill person, he does have a berserk button in the form of being called a rock. If you are friendly with Conk, he at most will be annoyed and correct you, saying "My name is Conk, not rock!" But if you are Conk's enemy, this will cause him to get retribution, usually via his supply of TNT. As of the RNG Tower episode, Conk is less infuriated by being called a rock, but he still finds it offensive. Conk is also very flirty with any female he finds, unless they are in a relationship as shown in the LAVA WORLD Movie. It doesn't matter what they look like or if they are even humanoid- Conk will pine after them. In the Parasite movie, this is taken to an extreme when Conk immediately begins to feel attracted to the Original Parasite after learning that she is a "she". While most females are put off by Conk and his aggressive flirting, sometimes he does end up getting the girl in the end. But even when he does, he seems to quickly lose interest and none of his relationships last long at all before he's already ready to move on to the next thing. Conk is also incredibly hungry and is always obsessed with food, especially when it comes to his favorite food, steak. Many times he has eaten entire stores of food in a very short time, causing problems. While everyone else might find cool and powerful items to be the best kind of loot, the only loot that Conk wants is a piece of steak (or whatever food happens to be available). Conk's skill level is extremely inconsistent. Most of the time in battles or competitions, he wins by sheer luck, or when his opponents underestimate him. Conk is almost impossible to get to do something due to his cluelessness, and he often fails over and over again. The notable exception to all of this is if he has some motivation. This can come in the form of food- for instance, when Conk was struggling with a parkour, Joll promised food at the end, which instantly made Conk into a parkour master. But most notably, this motivation comes when Conk is called a rock and personally offended. In the first season especially, many enemies have fallen by making the mistake of calling Conk a rock, and he blows them up soon afterwards. Joll even weaponizes this a few times. Conk is a very charismatic character and is able to make friends with almost anyone. He also claims that he is simultaneously dyslexic. Biography Childhood Donk, his dad has generational trauma and was always mean to Conk. Later Joll says to Conk "Frogs are Good." This becomes engraved in his mind for his whole life. Conk kills an unnamed cobblestone with one token because his dad says he's OP. After the Water and TNT Token Masters attack at the same time Conk protects Joll from dying because "frog is good." Conk leaves behind some tokens for Joll although the water token masters takes them. Then Conk blast Future Joll out of the trading card he's in. Meeting Joll Conk and Joll meet when Joll escapes from his parents into Mining Civilization, where Conk has lived his whole life ever since the TNT Kingdom became the Mining Civilization. During his time, he accumulated far more iron that was necessary to rank up, but never did due to his lack of awareness. When Joll gains 10 iron, the two rank up together, only to find themselves next to Fred, a corrupted miner. He chases them, forcing them to leave Conk's home in the Mining Civilization and go on an adventure through the other civilizations (including when Conk gets captured by the Water Civilization, where he falls in love with Joll's dad). Their adventure ends when they confront Cory, the leader of Corrupt Civilization, and Conk blows him up for calling him a rock. After Conk says bye to his girlfriends, he agrees to travel with Joll on his adventures, and they take a leap of faith into the unknown. Role in Adventures On adventures, Conk serves as the comic relief, with his silliness turning any situation into a humorous one. But in spite of his nature, Conk always plays an instrumental role in helping the crew on their adventures, whether it be through his mysterious items, his moments of motivation or lucidity, or any of his crazy antics just happening to do something good by luck. In this regard Conk serves as both one of the most memorable and invaluable members of Joll's crew. Powers and Abilities Inherent Powers Rock Nature As a stone, Conk possesses many of the features that a stone would have. He has resistance to both drowning and lava, though the extent to which he is resistant to those things is inconsistent at best. He is also much more resistant to TNT than an average player, which helps given his tendency to place lots of TNT down and blow things up. He can break through glass by falling and he sinks in water with ease, though these are more weaknesses than strengths. He is also immune to many things that effect biological entities, though not all (for instance, the parasites like to eat rocks just as much as biological things). Communication Conk can communicate with a number of other creatures that do not speak English, often citing "context clues" even when that explanation makes no sense. Mysterious Items and TNT Conk, due to his mysterious nature, often has blocks and items in his inventory that nobody- not even he- knows where they came from. These blocks are often helpful, or they can be annoying if you are asking him to give you another item and he keeps giving the wrong thing. As part of this, Conk always seems to have a supply of TNT on him at all times, which is useful when he needs to blow things up, such as his enemies who call him "rock". Conk also has a natural affinity to TNT and explosive abilities, which, like Joll's affinity to water based powers, is likely due to his nature as a former TNT Kingdom resident (as Joll was a former Water Kingdom resident). Fourth Wall Breaking Unlike Joll's more limited ability to break the fourth wall, doing so is easy for Conk, and he constantly references things in the real world that he shouldn't know about as a character from a Minecraft series. World Powers During his adventures, Conk takes on powers and abilities inherent to each world. However, he must usually give them up upon exiting the world. Super TNT: Conk's TNT stash is upgraded to have unlimited TNT of many different kinds and varieties when he uses the shift key in Crouching World. These can be lit by Joll's super flint and steel, which enhances their power further, making them the twin powers of the Prophecy. Conk's TNT is silent, so as not to attract the attention of Crawlers, and can do many things such as create explosions larger than normal TNT as well as dig down to bedrock. He loses this power upon exiting this world. Ultimate Crafting: Conk becomes the Ultimate Crafter in Ultimate World. This enables him to craft any item without needing any ingredients to do so, though this OP ability is wasted on Conk. While he often uses this to make things like TNT, Conk can even craft normally uncraftable items such as spawn eggs, owing to his mysterious nature. When enhanced into an Elite, Conk can craft anything in the game, even including food, essentially giving him a Creative mode inventory. He loses this power when the tree giving the powers is destroyed. TNT Token: When Conk has a TNT token, when he uses it, it causes far more damage than when any other person uses a TNT token.
