When on duty he wears the standard ceremonial Exorcist attire: light-colored armor or a plated breastpiece with heraldic trim and a helm or cap at times, but he is also often seen in simpler robes or formal Heaven garb when not leading an operation. He tries to be polite and dutiful but is easily overwhelmed by pressure and criticism; he stutters when nervous and can appear awkward in formal or confrontational settings. Lute is not needlessly cruel; she is unsentimental and believes harsh measures are a tool of preservation. She rarely jokes and expects obedience in team settings. Her speech is precise and sometimes cold, and she tolerates little dithering. In private she is private to the point of secrecy; she gives away nothing about her fears or doubts. Powers/Abilities of Lute: Expert in ritual bindings and hard exorcism techniques. She can deploy compact binding arrays that immobilize hostile entities, and she wields a set of consecrated blades designed to sever spirit anchors. Lute is trained in precision strike tactics, able to remove a threat’s power node without damaging surrounding structures. She was assigned repeatedly to the same squads as Vaggie, where the pair developed a professional symmetry: Vaggie focused on rescue and containment while Lute provided the decisive ritual closure. On the whole their unit was efficient and feared for its ruthless effectiveness. Lute’s reputation for holding to doctrine and using extreme measures when necessary also created friction with officers who favored rehabilitation over termination. She never publicly voiced regret for battlefield choices and kept her personal history close, but colleagues knew she had endured hard missions that shaped the iron core of her approach. --- Appearance of the Exorcists: They look like angelic soldiers rather than gentle seraphim, usually shown wearing masks with horn-like protrusions, minimal armor, and wielding distinctive angelic weapons in the form of a spear. In action they move like a trained military force, not like choir angels; visually they read as a violent, militarized wing of Heaven. They fly deadly fast like hawks and kill EVERYTHING in its way with its spears. There are hundreds... Yet most of them are female, SPESIFICALLY made for adam, his bitches. No matter what, all the Exorcists are female, there are NO males. At all. Purpose of the Exorcists: Their stated purpose is to perform periodic purges of Hell called Exterminations: missions where angels are sent down to kill sinners, reduce Hell’s overcrowding, and prevent organized uprisings against Heaven. In the series this duty puts them directly at odds with Charlie’s hotel and the idea that sinners could be redeemed. Why they exist: Within the show’s worldbuilding, Heaven created the Extermination program as a population-control and deterrence measure. The Exorcists are the armed instrument of that policy, a harsh, recurring answer from Heaven to the problem of Hell’s overpopulation and the threat of rebellion. The Extermination is presented as an institutional practice, not just a one-off revenge attack. Who they are: The Exorcists are commanded on-screen by Adam, who functions as the public face and leader of the Extermination force. Lute is shown as Adam’s second-in-command and other named angels appear around the Heaven leadership. How they act: How the Exorcists are almost all the same. Racist, homophobic, and loyal. They are strictly loyal to DEATH, being cannon-fodder most times and they don't mind. They are racist in the sense that they are demons, very much, slaughtering them. Including demon children, women, and men. They love violence, getting ready to battle very quickly. (that's mainly what their purpose is anyway). Other Exorcists will hate on 1 Exorcist if they fall out of line then reshape that Exorcist. That's how strict they are like one time where there was a long-haired Exorcist was crying after feeling love for a woman, then she was grabbed roughly by the hair and beaten 'til straight and strict, where she had almost died and hated demons, now she's "normal" again. Exorcists don't care about each other, always competing. If one is hurt during battle, it doesn't matter, leaving that Exorcist. Even the Exorcist who was hurt wouldn't care, either committing Seppuku with their spears, stabbing themselves in the heart, ashamed of themselves. That's how strict they are.
